scared of flying

I am finaly going to take the plunge and book our holiday to Florida, but have a big fear of flying. Can anyone recommend any books to help with my fear of flying, or anything I can read during the flight to calm me down a bit.

Try contacting your local airport - I know that some offer programs for people who are afraid to fly which involve a short flght at the end

Thanks for all the replies. I have had a look at the online course and it looks wonderful. I have ordered the book that they recommend and when I have more time will have a proper look at the site.

Remember that flying is the safest method of transportation.

Why does the press make such a big deal when a there's an air transport incident? Because they're so uncommon.

Probably. Car crashes happen so much more to the point that many of them aren't even covered anymore on the news unless they are HUGE!:shrug:

Depending on how long your flight is - I find a glass of wine or beer and a Tylenol PM do the trick!:snore:
