What did you do?

At least you are patient. I would have gone ahead and run anyway, possibly furthering injury. Im stubborn like that. I would have said, "Ahhh, that pain will numb up after a mile or two".

Way to be smart.

Well, I must be truthful, my wife was pushing me to be patient.:lookaroun

Ran a short run Friday and another Saturday. Some pain, but it didn't worsen, and the after effect has been minimal. It hurt more yesterday than Friday during the cool down etc, but I think it is definitely better. I hope so, as I have now skipped my long run for this week, and am down to 5 weeks left to get ready for my 1st half.

In better news, I received my honey stingers to try during my 10+ mile training runs over the next few weekends.

5 miles today per the schedule. I broke in my new Saucony Ride 3's. Woot Woot.

See ya Mizuno's. You are notorious for lasting only 300 miles. I need a little more out of our relationship. It not you, its me. :lookaroun

Nice & easy 4 miler this evening. Very few runs last several weeks due to flu and sinus issues. :(

Marathon weekend in a few short days :sohappy:

I had Ride 2's and was very happy with them.

I am debating going back to Saucony Ride's again (after I wear out these Asics Gel Kayano's)

Was planning to do 3 miles last night, but had to respond to a fight last night at work, and tweaked my right arch while trying to break it up. (I'm a correctional officer).

I'm sure it'll be fine by Saturday, but it's tender this morning, for sure.

I swear Dave, i am trying to find that shoe I am happy with so I can just reorder them or at least go try on the new version to make sure they fit right (since they change a few things with each new model).

I might have found them, but every brand new shoe feels great. Check back in about 300 miles. :D

Ok, 10+ miles everyday since Saturday. I missed my 30miler. Again, the darn storm up here screwed up my running. I'll be lucky if I reach 70-75mi this week, including the Half on saturday.

Wife and I leave for The World tomorrow night, and staying at Beach Club, though we usulaly stay at Poly, this will be a nice change. Lots of great dinner and breakfast ressies, can't wait.

Did 4 miles yesterday at the usual 9 min per mile pace. The ankle was "there", but didn't seem to worsen during the run. I kept telling myself that I was fine. A little more sore afterwards, but I think I am past the worst of it.

Going to try do a short 3.1 mile run tonight to see what my 5K time might be at the end of the month.....

Just got back from running 5 miles. Trying new insoles for a little extra arch support.
Looking forward to an hour of yoga later on today. Love the stretches after my run.

Did 3.1 miles on the treadmill tonight at 8:54 pace which would be 27:37 5K, and I just want to be sub 30 at the end of the month.

I am going to take tomorrow off I think and see if I can get the ankle all the way better. I definitely feel it right now.

I didn't run today or yesterday but now that I have internet access I have to post about the run I did Sunday morning.

We drove down from CT and arrived at WDW on Sat night. We stayed at the Dolphin since the DW has always wanted to stay there. I got up at about 5:30 on Sun and decided to go for a run. Left the Dolphin and headed towards DHS along the water, looped around the entry gates and headed back towards the Boardwalk. Did a few loops of the lagoon around BW and Y&BC resort and headed in towards Epcot the couple hundered feet that I could. It was so peaceful and scerene being one of the only people around the resorts. Only other people I saw was a few other runners and a couple Disney workers. Saw the sun rising over the resort. Saw a double rainbow a little while later after the sun came up. All said and done, it was about 4.5 miles and I felt AWESOME (probably due to the running eviroment).

One of the best runs EVER...nothing beats the Disney magic.
