What did you do?

10.50+ yetsterday as it snowed.

Today...nothing, shoveled snow between 9am and 1:30pm, straight. Holy crap...
You could not pay me to live in your region or in the north for this very reason. Ill take my 99 degree summer days with 100% humidity. I will not shovel snow (since this is the opposite extreme to me).

That is all. :D

A 4 mile recovery run today, 8:53 pace.

Condensing my schedule a little this week, as I am moving my long run back Saturday due to travel this upcoming weekend.

Easy 3 miles after work. A balmy 55F at run time. :D

Signed up for the Robins AFB Museum of Aviation 5K the weekend right after the WDW Half. Wish I could do the Museum Half but I'm worried about over-doing it. Troops in Afghanistan will be running a half & full simultaneous with the Museum half & full. How cool is that? :)

I have done nothing for the last two days.

I felt some pain above my ankle after Monday's run, with a little swelling. So I am trying to be patient to let it heal before pressing on. Since I have 5 1/2 weeks before my first half on Feb 6th, I have plenty of time, and want to make sure this doesn't linger.

By the way the 10 day forecast for LBV says Sunny High of 69, low of 42 for Saturday. Obviously still a long way out, but temps are supposed to be very moderate over the next week to 10 days in FL.

At least you are patient. I would have gone ahead and run anyway, possibly furthering injury. Im stubborn like that. I would have said, "Ahhh, that pain will numb up after a mile or two".

Way to be smart.

10.1 yesterday....A good run, but ended up with a blister on the arch of my right foot afterwards.

Priority #1 is now getting that healed up properly before the half.

Happy Birthday (a day early)!

After some sporadic training over past couple months, I am trying to get back into the swing of things. 4 miles on Tuesday, a 3 mile tempo run on Wednesday, and 7 at an easy pace this morning.

I am going to try to get back to a respectable level of fitness for the Mercedes 1/2 Marathon in 6 weeks. We shall see.

Donald, I'm thinking about doing the Comrades Ultra Marathon sometime. You should join me. :)

Sounds cool. I just gotta get through this first 100 miler at the NJ Ultra Fest, then I'll see which one's I want to do.

I told my wife I want to do the Badwater Ultra...she was not too happy to hear that :D

I might run into you there. I am on schedule for the full.

Speaking of, I got professionally fitted for a shoe today. The days of armchair quarterbacking what shoe works for me is over. Saucony's dont fail me now.

Happy Birthday Joel

The snow storm here in NJ really screwed my training. I am nowhere near my 80mile/week mark.
Thanks Nick. I think Ill take the day off tomorrow, watch some Alabama football and drink a few beers. :D

Easy 5 miles this AM. When I started this back in February I never thought I would be able to say 'easy 5 miles'. :D

One more week! :sohappy:
