Can the Christmas tree be seen from Epcot? Is the BAH much taller than that? Going from memory, and that's not always very reliable!!o_O

One of the all-time best funny words. Then for you to add the word "Oversized" just made me chuckle. Thanks. To bad you couldn't find a place to slip in the word asphalt. . .

Is it bad I had to reread the post half a dozen times to get what you're talking about?

It was, in its Ferris wheel version.

What was the intent of the Ferris Wheel version? Was it a rebranding of the park? if so were there other design changes/new attractions planned for the park? Or was it just literally adding 2 ferris wheels outside with that ugly hat?

Well if both backlot tour and Honey I shrunk play area are reopening after big refurbishments then I guess these DHS plans aren't happening..... Unless the 3 months gets "extended"".....

There's always a plan B...until the funds get green lit local management has to continue assuming it never happens. Plan B is probably to clean things up a bit, add a few benches, maybe a few planters :(

They did something similar with the Poly refurb. Rooms rumored to be converted to villas as part of the DVC at Poly are listed for refurb in the fall.

Yeah, kind of thought that might be where Carsland would go . . .:arghh:

Doesn't mean anything. It's quite possible/likely that they will stage closures and construction for DHS. Specifically, the plan apparently is that Star Wars would be built first, on a somewhat accelerated timetable (for Disney) so that might mean closure of IJ stunt show and American Idol. They might want to leave LMA and Backlot Tour running as long as possible so that they don't significantly limit the amount of "stuff to do" in DHS, which is already pretty sparse in terms of attractions to begin with.

Backlot Tour and LMA will be staying for another 4 years because they just renewed LMA's contract

I want to know why they would get rid of Beauty and the beast show .. , bc to me its the hidden gem of the park..,
granted they want to do more with the future of the park. but the show is enjoyable and its a must do for me and my family everytime we go..

Yea, and watered it down since it first opened... It is a really bad mish-mash of the songs from the movie... Used to be watchable, now it is unbearable..

Unless I've missed something, the show is exactly the same as it's always been. Actually, at some point they reordered the show and actually placed the songs in order, Be Our Guest used to open the show then Belle happened. As a result they also added part of the Belle reprise and added the part with the Enchantress at the beginning too. So all they've done is add and improve things not take away.
