Upcoming DHS closings ...

Unless I am very much mistaken, Martin was referring to his revelation that the wand was coming down in the last decade and not that the hat will be removed starting in a week and a half. Continue eating your Cheerios as per usual.

But "next Monday" refers to a date in the future! To get our hopes up like that only to have them dashed...

I took it to mean that Martin was told last Monday that the BAH is coming down. That is, that he'll have known this information for sure for "a week next Monday". I don't think Martin's comments suggest that the walls will go up at that time. It's certainly an odd sentence construction in terms of clarity.

Shoot - I need to put in for time off, so I can start a Twitter account and report on hat destruction.

If I see tears from post 2000 guests who have known nothing else, it will be a bonus.

But where will I go there to do my ever so precious pin-trading? I need to see if my pre-trip flu shot will stand up to all the extra germs I can get exposed to...

I was about to correct you but then I realized you said "park" (singular) instead of "parks" plural. Surely there are multiple dozens across property.
Yes, dozens in DHS, probably a hundred on property. Anyplace large enough to fit a cash register. Sorry, I mean MM+ Fob.

I think he is saying that he was told last minute, for an event that has taken place in the past.

For example (dates are probably wrong), in January 2007, Spirit said that the wand would be coming down. Martin heard at the end of June 2007 that "the walls would be physically up a week next Monday". Beginning of July 2007, the walls went up.

That's the one. Was talking about the wand.

If I hear about the hat you'll see me swinging from the rooftops (or the retractable spires of the Chinese Theatre)
