Unlimited Fastpasses, Two Disney Hotels, and a Chef’s Table – It’s all Good Until Somebody Barfs

I just got back from the Happiest Place on Earth! And oh how I love it there. Disneyland is my home away from home. We spent so much time there when we lived in California and I have so many wonderful memories of it. I don’t get there near as often as I like anymore. So when some training was offered for travel agents, I knew I was there!

Who – Me of course! And Pam, Missy and Dani were coming for training too! There was a whole gaggle of Kingdom Konsultants! Well, is four a gaggle? Maybe not, but it was still fun! Here we all are from left to right Tammy, Missy, Pam and Dani:

DisneylandTrainingDay326.jpg

When – August 22nd -August 27th

Where – 4 nights at the Grand Californian and one at the Disneyland Hotel

What – Some agent training and some fun!

Catch phrase of the trip – “It’s all good until somebody barfs.” Don’t worry, nobody actually barfed. :) More on that later…

looks like so much fun! I want to go to Disneyland and see where it all started... someday... but for now I have your pictures :)

It is so much fun, ctosh! You need to go someday!

Tammy,

I'm so jealous of many things in the report.
The fact that you stayed at Grand Californian, the fact that you knew your way around Downtown Disney ( I didn't figure out where it even was until my last day ) and the amazing pictures you took!

Wonderful report so far, can't wait for more!

Thank you Fractal! I really appreciate it! I have got to get caught up on your report!! :)

Thank you, Angie! I am racing to get everything done AND get the trip report done! So much to do! In a good way! :)

Can't wait to see you next week!

I can't wait either !! Your ship was actually in today, it will only be in one more time before your visit :) The long range forecast looks good (although it will most likely change 100 times before then), it has cooled down but still very sunny. This week our temps are going to be between 17-23 so definitely not too bad and no snow in the forecast so you should be safe :D Oh gosh, I probably just scared you, that would be between 68-75. I forgot that my friends in the US use farenheit and not celcius :)

One more time! That means we're so close!! We're expecting cool, but not snow, lol!! Or 17-23 lol!

Thursday, August 23 – Training and Fun

As I feared, I was wide awake at 5 am. I had planned on going out and taking some pictures but I actually had several emails to answer. So I dilly dallied on the computer for a while and then got up and showered.

Everyone was awake by the time I got out so we got ready and headed out for Extra Magic Hours. We decided to go to Disneyland Park for Extra Magic Hours since we knew we would be at Extra Magic Hours for Cars Land the next day.

Since the vast majority of people go to California Adventure for Extra Magic Hours, Disneyland was super quiet.

I had a terrible crick in my neck that morning, so I skipped the Matterhorn with Pam and Dani, and took pictures instead. Throw me in that briar patch! Sadly it was a bit overcast so no pretty sky:

That's enough castle pictures to last a lifetime, so we'll move on!

Pam and Dani got used to me screaming Monorail and taking off running like a crazy woman looking for a good picture spot every time I heard the monorail horn. This was no exception.

After that we rode Space Mountain. Far superior at Disneyland in case you haven’t heard.

Next we had breakfast at the Carnation Cafe. It was delicious! And such a lovely setting.

After filling our bellies, we walked over towards Pirates.

We passed the Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki room, in the Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki room…Are you singing it now?

Then Haunted Mansion! We just missed the Holiday overlay.

We were hungry again by this point and desperately searching for Mickey bars, but alas, none of the ice cream carts were open yet!!

So we went through the Sleeping Beauty Castle walk through instead.

Then it was back to the hotel because Missy was almost there! Woo hoo!

So coming next - Missy!!!

Fabulous pics, Tammy! I don't think you overdid the castle pics. I love the different angles and how each shows the different colors of "stone". I love the infusion of the softer pinks & peaches. It's subtle but not overly feminine. I love the way the "stones" go right down into the water line and it creates the different reflections on the water. I just love it.

The white statues of the dwarves, etc. that are near the waterfall & wishing well, isn't there some sort of story or history to those? Were they a gift or something like that? Seems like I heard a story about them before but I can't remember it now...

I really love seeing pics of New Orleans Square. I think I could fall in love with that area. So pretty.

What was that coffee thing Pam had??? Wowza! I'm craving something coffee-ish now! LOL!

Can't wait to see more!

That was my most favorite part of the park. It was so charming. And maybe because it's a different land than anything the Magic Kingdom at WDW has, but it was just lovely!
