Unlimited Fastpasses, Two Disney Hotels, and a Chef’s Table – It’s all Good Until Somebody Barfs

I just got back from the Happiest Place on Earth! And oh how I love it there. Disneyland is my home away from home. We spent so much time there when we lived in California and I have so many wonderful memories of it. I don’t get there near as often as I like anymore. So when some training was offered for travel agents, I knew I was there!

Who – Me of course! And Pam, Missy and Dani were coming for training too! There was a whole gaggle of Kingdom Konsultants! Well, is four a gaggle? Maybe not, but it was still fun! Here we all are from left to right Tammy, Missy, Pam and Dani:

When – August 22nd -August 27th

Where – 4 nights at the Grand Californian and one at the Disneyland Hotel

What – Some agent training and some fun!

Catch phrase of the trip – “It’s all good until somebody barfs.” Don’t worry, nobody actually barfed. :) More on that later…

I’m back! Sorry for the delay. Actually I’ve been back since Monday, but I finally feel caught up!

Well, mostly. :)

The cruise was awesome and I’ll be starting that trip report after I finish this one!

So starting where I left off, hotel tours! This may be boring if you have no intention of ever staying offsite, but if you’re curious about any of the nearby hotels, here’s a few of them.

First up was Ramada Maingate. It wasn’t anything too special but it is about to undergo a major overhaul.

Next was the Hotel Menage which I’ve toured before and am fairly impressed with. It’s not close enough to walk, but it’s a quick shuttle ride away.

We were all somewhat exhausted by the tours but when we got off, Tommy had something special for us! Unlimited Fastpasses!! What what?

I’ve had Fastpasses at training where we could take multiple people on with one Fastpass but this was the first time I’d seen ones that we could use over and over.

Score!

But first it was time to get ready for the grand event – Chef’s Table at Napa Rose! That will be coming next!

WOW. That hotel room is nice. I love the bed.

Nice halo request Richard. If I would have really paid attention to what it was or what it would have been used for, I might have laced it with gold.:D

Here we go a highlight of the trip – Chef’s Table at Napa Rose.

Yes, we were following in Samantha Brown’s footsteps if you’ve ever seen that episode. :)

Here’s the lobby:

The Chef’s Table had three sections, and ours was right in front of one of the work stations. We had excellent views all night long and I took over 100 pictures.

See, you know there's going to be a lot of pictures when I took 5 of just the menu!

The award winning Sous Chef Alex, came over to talk to us about what we wanted. Even though we had some crazy picky eaters in our group of four, we decided to trust him and go with the Chef’s tasting menu. We gave him a list of some things we definitely wouldn’t eat and he was off.

The amount of attention they paid us that night was amazing. While preparing dishes they talked to us and answered questions. It was a great experience.

Missy and Pam both got wine with their dinner and Missy got a wine pairing so our excellent server Steven came back with every course with a different wine to try:
