Unlimited Fastpasses, Two Disney Hotels, and a Chef’s Table – It’s all Good Until Somebody Barfs

I just got back from the Happiest Place on Earth! And oh how I love it there. Disneyland is my home away from home. We spent so much time there when we lived in California and I have so many wonderful memories of it. I don’t get there near as often as I like anymore. So when some training was offered for travel agents, I knew I was there!

Who – Me of course! And Pam, Missy and Dani were coming for training too! There was a whole gaggle of Kingdom Konsultants! Well, is four a gaggle? Maybe not, but it was still fun! Here we all are from left to right Tammy, Missy, Pam and Dani:

When – August 22nd -August 27th

Where – 4 nights at the Grand Californian and one at the Disneyland Hotel

What – Some agent training and some fun!

Catch phrase of the trip – “It’s all good until somebody barfs.” Don’t worry, nobody actually barfed. More on that later…

After another excellent race, we walked over to Monsters Inc.

Not surprisingly, we were the only people in line. It’s not that Monsters Inc. isn’t a good ride, it’s just that Cars Land kind resembles the Wizarding World over at Universal in Florida. All the crowds are there and only there. You think the park is packed until you walk out of that land and find that really, it’s only packed there.

We stopped in to see the Zoetrope in the Animation building again. This is the lobby area where you will often see mass groups of people sitting and cooling off. The movie scenes change frequently:

We met the group at Carthay Circle and went on an organized tour of California Adventure.

After we finished, we went back to the hotel conference rooms for a class on vacation packages.

We ate a buffet lunch there and then boarded a bus for some good neighbor hotel tours which will be coming up next!

Yay! Loving your report and pics! Forgot to take notes but remember a few things...mainly that I need to take a trip to Cali! I went to DL in 1995 but so much has changed and now there is DCA (and Carsland) too! I remember being shocked by the short castle but loved it anyway. I really like the way it extends out on each side into Fantasyland...saw this in your pics not in my old fuzzy memory LOL! I think I like the Paradise Pier hotel the most but would not turn down any of them. Definitely wanna go to Hawaii!!!! I remeber seeing pics of DCA when it first opened and was just not that excited but it's calling to me now! I just loooove that Soarin is inside a hangar! How awesome! Carsland looks like it fell right out of the movie! I just HAVE to go!

Okay, may have to push DLR to 2015, since there is a "big" event taking place in 2014 here ....and if I went,
I would be going without my traveling partner .

It has changed so much! There is nothing really to prepare you for how short the castle is, but it does have it's own charm.
It's amazing the amount of work Disney has put into California Adventure and it was definitely worth it.
