and after purchasing this, I've found out I'm on PM on call with my work, which means from 1pm onward, I can be called in. Plus side, free food and hotel room. Downside.. I just spend over $100 on all this crap (And filling up my tank with gas)
Well....you were just being prepared. And you know, alcohol never hurts to have on hand! ;)

windows have been duct taped.. tomorrow after I return from the parks, I'm moving things away from the window and into my closet. We've already removed everything from the porch

Who says the youth of america lacks spiritual fiber? Why all it takes is the looming threat of a catagory three hurricane to perk people right back up!

I think I may have to call several holy men to bless Casa MKT as well.

It can't hurt...

althought the weight of all the holy men combined might weaken the building structurally.

You can also take empty gallons of water, go to the nearest church, fill them up with holy water, take it back and spill it all over your house :lookaroun

And finally answer the age-old question: how many holy men does it take to throw the hurricane building rating right out the window?

Hey, at least you're inland. Half of my county had to flee you know. It's really encouraging for those of us who stayed, let me tell you.

Have you heard the one about the priest, the rabbi, and the minister who went to bless Rob's house.....? ;)

 What a trooper!

We just experienced some rain and winds down here, but right now it's calm. Should start picking up in a few hours.

Well, it sounds braver then it is actualy. 1) we're not in the evac zone 2) Love's on-call tomorrow for any emergencies (I'm thinking that if it's bad enough that the company's freaking over their pc's, then it's too darned bad for him to be trying to get out into it!) and 3) our car couldn't get us out of the area even if we did need to flee. It's so on it's last legs

I think I'm going to get some rest now while it's still calm. It will give me something to do besides obsessivly reload webpages to pass the time.

Stay dry everyone!

I can tell you as of 1:00 PM here nothing has really happened. It's windy outside but supposedly the rains are coming later. Regardless of what happens, today is my cousin's 15th birthday so we're going to Friday's. Bring it on!

I live in Ft. Myers, right where it's going to hit :(. Wish me luck!

Good luck. I am watching the Fort Myers' expected storm surge on the Weather Channel at the moment. 18 feet! My gosh...stay safe.

yeah that's 18 out by Sanibel at the mouth of the Calloosahatchee River. Luckily I live pretty far inland and we are pretty high up so we should be alright with that, it's the wind that worries me.

I'll be praying for you and everyone that lives in that area.
