pictures from another site show the canopies already hung. So far i don't care for how they look. I am hoping that they fit the area better than what the small section of canopy in the picture looks like. The colors and patterns seem off to the rest of the decor. will be glad to see it all done and see how it all fits in

Getting excited for this. Miceage shows a shot where they've left (or is it new?) the magic carpet mosaic in the floor of the entryway.

Any chance they will temporarily close the Dole Whip stand by Tiki Room to train the crowds to get their Dole Whips at the new location?

Any chance they will permanently close the Dole Whip stand by the Tiki room?

I wouldn’t be surprised if they only kept the side open that faces the Tiki Room

The new AP hangout looks fantastic :banghead:

Just curious, why do people keep referring to it as such? Why will this area be more prone to APs than everywhere else at the resort? Other than the fact that it’s new. I’m talking about when the “newness” wears off.

When the newness wear off, it won't. At the beginning, like everything else, APs (and the bloggers/vloggers) will live there cuz that's where all the cool kidz hang out.

This expansion/refurb was very needed.. but I gotta say I'm pretty underwhelmed looking at the pictures.. I remember a while back there was a large water feature with rock work planned for the entrance... Maybe it was built but was just not photographed? Also not photographed is the seating area closest to the jungle dock.. Also not mentioned is when this new area will open....

The rock work is there, here is a pic from this weeks Micechat update:

As for when it will open, I'm betting Christmas weekend, with grand opening on the 21st.

( looks at recent interior photos )

Looks really nice!
:D

Very pleasing space, and I like the fun details of adding 'bird house' holes with name shells for the various Tiki Birds.
Interested to find out what the brass name plates on the boat paddles say.
Skipper tributes, perhaps...?
I'm glad they kept the Magic Carpet mosaic tile work.

Rosita looks terrific too, looking forward to seeing her little skits.
Love those decorative lanterns, and the expansion of the already present tiki torches is a nice touch that is going to make this space very appealing in the evening.
And a water feature, too?
Fantastic.

I am definitely going to be spending some time there if it is indeed open by early next month!
Excited to see how nicely it all seems to be coming along.
