I get it now. it took me a while. I am the one I am afraid who started the mansion distance debate in the thread as a example trying to prove a point, I was incorrect in my assessment and had to take back my example.

The first 9 seconds, the face, "I'm distraught", "I'm broken hearted"...he seriously looks like someone shot his puppy...I can't take these folks seriously or watch their videos for very long. I don't think it's terrible given it appears that it's something that had to be done. Maybe after a bit of time, the bamboo will age and darken up to fit in better with the area. Ultimately, I'll need to see it in person to better judge but in and of itself, it's not going to ruin my DL or ETR experience.

Speaking of Haunted Mansion, there was a snipet on the news about some person that loves Disney so much that they turned their garage into a mini low budget replica of the Haunted Mansion. Another family turned their whole basement into mini replica of Fantasyland.

They both are pretty neat, the Haunted mansion actually has a coaster track on it but the one made to feel like Fantasyland actually has as much detail of the land as possible recreating many of the facades.

I'm not expecting any barker bird or animatronics. Those things cost money and have to be maintained. An Instagram wall is a lot cheaper.

TBF there was a barker bird in the concept art, but wouldn’t be surprised if it’s never mentioned again and never becomes an actual thing (just like the Pixar Pier theater and the Incredicoaster show building)

Forgive if this has already been answered earlier, but is there a tentative date for the Hideaway's opening?
I just found out I'm heading back to California again in January and would like to check it out in finished form if it will be completed by then.

And there had better be a 'barker bird' repro or at least one mechanically animated thing besides the hot dog rolling machine at this new themed CS.
My undies are gonna be in a bunch if I fly into town and there is no birdie, concept art be damned!
