Nope. Just stating an opinion. Negative opinion about Disney makes you "cool" on here. Negative opinion about universal and people jump down your throat. Find me an exception.
Your overall tone and demeanor makes it very hard for many to believe that you are expressing honest opinions. It really has nothing to do with the brands and companies, as plenty of others go about having cordial disagreements, it's all in your presentation.

Ya know, most people just don't take this whole theme park s**t as seriously as some of us on here. :)

Ya know, that may well be true (and should be!) ... but there are some that take this s**t even more serious than we do. The people who create, design, build, market, publicize and watch their company's either gain financially from the product or head in the other direction.

Oh, and while other visitors may not take much of what we talk about here as seriously as we do, I'll tell you a basic truth of Disney Parks and that's if you please most of the diehard fans, you're going to also wind up pleasing most of your visitor base. It's always been that way, and just because we're in an era of Twitter and iPads and Honey Boo Boo doesn't change that.

It's all a matter of attitude and perspective. Super simple example after reading lots of posts on FLE...

Is 'Enchanted Tales with Belle' an 'A' ticket meet and greet, but supercharged in an awesome 'D' ticket building? That's sweet; the next level of meet and great with wonderful theming, great audio animatronics and a super cool mirror effect! Or, is 'Enchanted Tales with Belle' a 'D' ticket building with a stupid meet 'n greet inside? I think it's the former and is a great addition to Fantasyland, while others on here think it's the latter.

How about a waste of $$$ and a missed opportunity?

Have you read any of the comments on ETwB on the DIS? Moms ravage it because you DON'T get face time with Belle. Your kid gets a quick love-n-shove (no autographs please) with PhotoPass IF they participated in the show. If they didn't - sorry. It's baffling that it doesn't even fulfill its stated purpose of being a meet-n-greet. Anyone who says they wouldn't rather have had a new BatB dark ride (or even the DLP proposed Tiki Room-style show) is loony.

The model was so.... lacking and..... indistinct... since that is roughly where the process is up to.

Seriously, the leaked plans now look to be too grand. This project is certainly not a done deal yet.

With FLE and AL (Avatar Land), two of four parks get a half billion dollars worth of love and attention, but we have four park - another two need TLC. EPCOT needs a makeover and DHS needs an expansion. Cars Land would take care of DHS' needs, with only EPCOT left screaming for attention.

Then, there's the question of monorail expansion, figured to cost between a billion and $2 billion, which is the same as the total cost of giving all four parks a $500 million expansion or makeover. If they're spending a billion on this NextGen project, I seems to me that monorail expansion and park expansions and makeovers would be up there in priorities. By the way, when I say "monorail expansion", I am using these words loosely, as it could mean any number of "next generation" resort transportation solutions, including monorail, peoplemover, PRT, lightrail, metro, moving sidewalks, maglev, streetcar, trolley, etc.

The biggest hint from the Orlando Sentinel article is this paragraph: "Disney this summer reassigned the creative executive who led the development of Cars Land to Orlando, appointing her to a new position of "executive producer" for all of Disney World..."

They (Disney) would not have made that move if they weren't planning on investing big in new projects at WDW. She will do to WDW what she has done for DL. It's like when Paul Pressler was moved from DL to all of Disney properties. His cheap low quality style which became his signature at DL spread throughout the company and to the other parks (JiYI at EPCOT, for example). This is something similar, but in reverse.

Epcot will get its turn. Eventually.

Er, not exactly. I think you're prescribing a bit more than is intended with this appointment. There is plenty to be invested in, and she will be overseeing, but it's not a huge game-changing moment.
