My father has a mass in his stomach. The doctors did a catscan but they dont really know what it is and they dont want to do a biopsy because it is contained and they are afraid if they puncture it they will poison him. They do know that it has to come out. They have told him to expect it to be cancer. He had an appointment with a (loser) surgeon who doesnt want to do the operation because the mass is too big for him. So once my dad finds a surgeon and has this mass removed we'll know more. But waiting around is...there's no way to describe it...I feel sick to my stomach all the time with worry and I'm so distracted that I'm actually behind on my school work (that NEVER happens).
Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you So much

Modupue, Babaluaye, patron of the poor, the sick, and the downtrodden. Helper of the forgotten and forlorn, the disrespected ones. With this prayer I request your compassionate assistance, and with the aid of Olodumare, may you always protect Alicia's Father during sickness and also in good health. Babaluaye, give Alicia's Father the strength to overcome temptations and to achieve his full potential during his sojourn on earth. Babaluaye, help all those who cannot help themselves and remain always by Alicia and her Father's side. Modupue Babaluaye, Modupue!

But I have read every page today, and my thoughts and prayers are indeed with you and your dad now. You have been courageous this year, and I just ask that God continue to provide strength as you all continue to see this through.

No, Tati, I am not a spiritualist. I am a realist. Accidents, illness, disease and old age often bring suffering we cannot explain. Sickness reminds us how dependant we are on others, but, we should never give in to sickness! It is our duty to fight to regain our health. Prayer can help. Babaluaye is the Orisha name for St. Lazarus, who is called the "father of the world". Babaluaye is the ruler of all illness, disease and infirmities. He helps those who cannot help themselves such as those who have been rejected by society. He is a teacher of humility, compassion and responsibility to others. Babaluaye is very overworked and understaffed, but he will do his best!disneytati said:Nice prayer! Are you spiritualist?
