Going back to the DWA-Comcast tie-up. Looks like Comcast slowed the talks already???? Sounds a bit weird that Hasbro, Softbank and now Comcast have second thoughts the second the deal leaks.

Begins to sound like DWA is playing games for stock lifts?
Or Dreamworks is having serious problem being profitable and maintaining momentum in their movie releases.

Motley Fool weighed in on Comcast/Dreamworks today.... some of it seems similar to what I posted late last night. Likely a coincidence.... just like how all his columns look like theyre sourced straight from here.
You have stalker dave? perhaps time to keep your backyard and garden spruced up ? ;)

Just a Spirited Drive-By ... but I see the crazies in the Disney fanverse (yeah, that is about 91% of the people) talking like they are in the know about the TDR announcements. As usual, they are not.

No, the earlier plans have not been cancelled or replaced. Will they be changed? Likely to some degree, but that hasn't been determined. The Alice E-Ticket for SDL was being cloned here ... the Frozen E-Ticket for TDS was being cloned in DL. Those attractions are still on. So one can/should surmise they will happen in Tokyo.

The BatB area for TDL isn't new. It (as well as the E-Ticket) were always planned. The fleshed out area was always planned. ... Hell, Soarin for TDS has been on the agenda (at least in Burbank) since at least 2007-08.

The only things that are 'new' (or new to me) are the BH6 flat ride, which is what it is and the new Fantasyland Theater venue, which will mean curtains for the 1980s-era Showbase (home to the fan favorite One Man's Dream II, which right now is still better than almost all the 'live' entertainment at WDW!)

I think a lot of people are jumping to bad conclusions ... and they are doing so over a very positive announcement. I think that speaks volumes of the expectations that fanbois in the USA, 99% who will never go to scary Tokyo, have of the resort and the OLC.

Anyone want to talk about how great the Star Wars Launch Bay is? How about anything in Future World? Good ...

Also, enjoying the talk and speculation about Comcast ant DWA ... I actually think it is a good fit for Comcast, although the price is steep. But it adds another piece to the puzzle regarding where Roberts and Co see the company headed.

BTW, look for the next round of UNI hotel expansion to be announced very, very soon ... for both FL ... and beyond! :)

I thought it was mostly more info on previously announced things for TDS....I have mixed feelings about the BH6 news though

Is Soarin' not going on part of Frozen's planned space though? I mean, if you're correct, that really sounds great. I just wonder why they would've left out the Frozen and Alice parts today. The press release makes it sound like this is the extent of their plans 'till 2021 and beyond, but is it not?

I'm not saying I don't trust you. It's just that things change. Or people don't pick up on the changes. I mean, phase 3 for DHS (and Star Wars in the Indy stunt show area) was still being defended by many until the day some new art came out... despite all of the signs over the last three months pointing otherwise. Btw, any new word on phase 3?

So yeah, I don't totally believe both the Alice and Frozen rides are still in the plans, but I'm dearly hoping they are. I do fully agree that this is a very positive announcement though. Extremely excited, as everyone should be, for what is to come in Tokyo.

An attendance goal being moved forward (from 2023 to 2020, in this case) is something we all should applaud.

In less reported TDR news, OLC is going to buy back $265 million worth of shares over the next year. Coming to the dark side, Oriental Land Company is. Maybe
http://www.olc.co.jp/en/news/olcgroup/20160427_05e.pdf

There is nothing inherently evil about stock repurchases many tech companies give them in place of cash bonuses to minimize the tax hit on employees if they hold them for 1 year or longer. And then the company will repurchase those shares and recycle them again and again. You notice that they are repurchasing a small amount of stock relative to their revenue so I expect this is stock which was used for incentive payments.

I think some of the new concept art makes it appear that there won't be much room for where the re-located Dumbo was supposed to go.
And, since Small World isn't moving, will Alice still have enough room to expand...?

Avatar looks by far the best addition currently planned for any Disney park across the world. But it's Avatar, so many people will never be happy with it. To the extent many people pretend it isn't happening and peddle the "we never get anything cool" line.
You're comparing the wrong things it's not look what they are getting and what we aren't. It's Look what they got vs what we got. Can you honestly look at our nfl expansion and say that any of it reaches the levels of just the batb area? Avatar has nothing to do with what we should be angry about.

@WDW1974 is correct (per usual). The Soarin' plot is in Mediterranean Harbour. Arendelle/Scandinavia is on an unused expansion pad next to Lost River Delta; the two projects are on opposite sides of the park.

Didn't you hint at B&tB coming to DL too before or no?
