The New Fantasyland

That's a crazy amount of walking for Indy!

Which Indy is better TDS or DL?

I've ridden both multiple times. DisneySea was remarkably similar to Disneyland's. Although there were a couple of effects that were different, the most noteable being the blowing smoke ring effect at DisneySea. The queue setup is very different at DisneySea also; not superior in any meaningful way, just different in appearance and logistics.

It was pretty obvious that the Disneyland version of '95 was already so good they didn't do much except minor tweaks and adjustments for DisneySea in '01. Anyone who is not a theme park geek wouldn't pick up on most differences. So the answer is more that they are a bit different, rather than one is better than the other.

:) Thanks.

Just MK or the other rumor too? I promise I won't ask anything else.

Just MK. Haven't heard anything on the DAK front.

I've seen that in vids, and it's infuriating.:brick:

How did the show run, though?

Actually, it was the best showing of Illuminations I've seen in a very, very long time. The Earth Barge was crystal clear.

New Orleand Square > Liberty Square, and I'll near no debate about it.
It's not even close.

I'd debate you...if I remembered what NOS was like.

Exactly.
In this photo, the red box is the Indy show building, the red circle is the entrance to the indoor portion of the queue, and the green circle is the entrance sign/beginning of the outdoor queue.
That's how you fit a ride into a park with little space.

Awesome, thanks for the illustration! Disneyland is full of briliant Imagineering moves like that.

Just brilliant. And intertwined all over each other; Alice In Wonderland dark ride sitting on top of Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage caverns with Autopia freeways sitting on the roof of the show building, with Monorail trains looping over the Autopia freeways in the sky. Just brilliant stuff, all using up every inch of space for as many rides and attractions as possible.

And then you look at big, sprawling parks like Magic Kingdom that are missing at least 15 rides from Disneyland and you think "What's with all this wasted space?!?"

Better Pirates
Cool Mansion
Club 33
Blue Bayou
Fantasmic
Better TSI
Better stores

*stands right here*

We have a better updated Mansion. Our Fantasmic is 100% working :D. WDW has a much larger variety of stores. I've heard nothing but bad things about your Pirate TSI. You may have a longer Pirates, Blue Bayou, and Club 33. You just have a lot of things jampacked into NOS.

Can't agree on the TSI. Pirate Island looks spectacular, and Disneyland's Fantasmic is still better, even without the Dragon being 101.

Disneyland doesn't have a Liberty Square. There is a New Orleans Square at Disneyland however, and it's gorgeous, themed to the 1920's Jazz Age just like the timeframe in the Tiana movie. Al Lutz has talked about a mardi gras style Tiana mini-parade and show that takes place in New Orleans Square and on the Rivers of America with the Mark Twain.

I'm not sure how they would make 1920's jazzy New Orleans work thematically in the 1700's Colonial Northeast America of Liberty Square.

New Orleans Square works perfectly for Tiana, and John Lasseter even sent the animators on field trips down to Disneyland to get the mood right for the film. But for WDW, Fantasyland seems the best place for Tiana, not Liberty Square.

Perfect justification to turn Tom Sawyer Island at WDW into "Princess and the Frog Land". Fantasyland is Medieval Europe so she would fit even less there than Liberty Square. Not sure how Fantasyland works?

Advetureland Veranda might work as a restaurant. And also House of Blues in DTD is perfect for a PatF restaurant. Then there is Port Orleans and DHS as possibilities.

Sorry, don't agree here at all. If anything make the Veranda the Adventurer's Club.

But the timeframe is all wrong. That is why we are told Liberty Square won't work.

Personally I'm stuck with wanting to see TSI converted to PatF.

My dream is that Disney will someday use some fancy technology to create a retractable pedestrian bridge to the island so they can develop that end of the magic kingdom. That is a lot of land on those islands.

Why not just build an attraction on an island. DLP did it.

Well, the timeframe is wrong for Peter Pan, Dumbo, IASW, Pooh, Alice in Wonderland, The Little Mermaid etc. I guess we should move them out too?

Fantasyland is where she and the other princesses belong.
