The title didn't begin with a capital. And as I stated in my OP, I mean no offense to any WDWMagic users, however it only takes a few seconds to look over what you have wrote and check it for spelling and punctuation.
Not trying to single you out or anything, but what I boldened above is an example of a petty thing that has managed to irritate the snot out of me for years.
I was always taught that the word "however", when used the way you used it, should be capitalized and start a new sentence. Let me demonstrate, using your above sentence:
I meant no offense to any WDWmagic users. However, it only takes a few seconds...
Now, when used as a parenthetical, it is okay to have coma "however" then another coma, as in this case:
"Joe didn't step foot in Epcot the whole trip. His brother and his wife, however, spent two whole days there."
It has always annoyed the snot out of me when people use the word "however" the way you did. :lol: I worked in the County Clerk's Office for 6 years, and the original County Clerk who hired me would often bring a letter out to me to look over for any errors before mailing it out. She would write something, do comma, however, then comma again, and I would always correct it, but she would never make the correction on the final draft. I saw one of my old English profs in the courthouse one day and I asked him about it and he agreed with me. So, to sum it up, here is the right way and the wrong way to use "however":
Wrong: My old English professor said that the word "however" should start out a new sentence, however, my boss didn't change the way she would write it.
Correct: My old English professor said that the word "however" should start a new sentence. However, my boss still continued to do it the wrong way.
Okay, now that I showed how pathetic I am in writing a lengthy post on the proper use of the word "however", I guess I will shut up now. :ROFLOL:
