I knew what you meant Danny. The OP was talking about capitalization of every word in the thread title. The capitalization of every word in a paragraph is very annoying.

I've become very casual about spelling, grammar, punctuation, etc. while posting on message boards.

It's not that I can't, it's more like laziness on my part. I minored in English in college, and a large part of my job involves writing. In a formal setting I make good use of spellcheck and all of the other proofreading tools available to me, and I keep a copy of Greggs near my desk.

When I am making a presentation at work, I speak more formally than I do when I am out having a drink with friends. I have the same attitude when posting on a message board.

Not to mention, I frequently post from my Voyager, which has a QWERTY keyboard the size of a credit card...

I don't think I'd get on anyone's case about spelling or grammar unless there are so many mistake that the post becomes unreadable.

Is it just me, or is this forum gradually slackening in terms of capitalization, spelling, punctuation and grammar? A few mistakes are OK, but some spell-checking doesn't take long and makes reading much easier on the eyes.

As reference, on the WDWMagic front page, I've found these mistakes in the titles alone:

To the OP, the American Public is getting much worse in speech/spelling/grammar which seems to be mostly due to laziness and disrespect. IMHO

While I spell well enough, grammatically I suffer! I tend to over analyze the structure of sentences. As far as IM jargon, it irks me, but culturally, it is embraced. I do not know why anyone cannot take the time to type out a whole word. Abbreviation is great, if it is a nationally recognized abbreviation. This, IDK UR2 cool, stuff bugs the fire out of me. I don't speak juvenile IM slang. It would be like me coming on this board and speaking in medical jargon, well no, at least you could look up my terms!

The biggest issue I have with bad spelling and poor grammar is that it sometimes makes it difficult to discern the point the poster is making. If the point is still clear, I don't care about the mistakes.

I'm actually more annoyed by really looooonnnnggggg posts. Make your point and end your post.

The title didn't begin with a capital. And as I stated in my OP, I mean no offense to any WDWMagic users, however it only takes a few seconds to look over what you have wrote and check it for spelling and punctuation.
