Spaceship Earth Re-opening WDWMagic Meet

Hey, I thought you were at MGM today :lol:

I was! I just got back home at 5:30pm. It was a good day to go - we were there under 4 hours and the drive was 5 hours total. :lookaroun We had things to do here at the house and DH couldn't leave first thing in the AM because he had a hangover from last nite's Halloween party. DOH! :lol: I'm going to put a little trip report in my blog with some pics. It was quite stormy-looking and TOT looked cool with the dark clouds....

Oh and yeah, we may want to PM people on our list so far who don't check in here often.

Do you want the PMs sent tonite? How long do we have to get the total for the dinner? By Tuesday?

As far as the dinner...

I called again just now and re-checked availability (because sometimes you get different answers depending on who you get on the phone) and this CM stated that he wanted me to call Biergarten directly and gave me the number. He felt that it would be the best idea. He said that availability was there right now, but you never know how long that will last. I think we have a few days to at least get a preliminary number to get started.

So anyone interested in dining at the Biergarten on 2/19 around 4pm please RSVP either in this thread, or by PM to Shannon (EPCOT.nut) or myself by this Friday Nov. 2nd so I can call to place the hold before it's too late. I can always subtract people later, but not add, so if you think it's a maybe for you, go ahead and say yes for now and please include your party size.

Oh and yeah, we may want to PM people on our list so far who don't check in here often.

That could mean Feb. 19th, or could mean "I hear it's gonna' be open on Monday!!!!!" and then BOOM, I (and lots of others) are going to be there bright and early on Monday morning. See what I'm saying? No matter what, I (and I assume the AP-type crowd we had for Haunted Mansion and most other ride openings. Including the sad Gran Fiesta mob of 07'.) will be there when we hear it's open. So I don't think we should set anything in stone...yet.

Yeah I get what you're saying, but the thing is if we want to have a sit down dinner together we have no choice but to book it ahead of time. It doesn't require a credit card even, so there is no risk. All we're doing is holding a spot for the folks that are interested, and I can always let it go if the dates change. It's not set in stone.... only sand

That's totally up to you. We have all the time we choose to take. It's up to us to decide how quickly we want to call and reserve something before it's to late.

I do think we need to get reserved and find out how many people will be there on 2/19. Being that it is a Tuesday it will be difficult for some people, but I do think we will get at least 22 people. Granted we are all there to ride the new SSE together and share our thoughts with others who love SSE as much as we do...BUT we also are making a whole day of it as a WDWMagic meet. So a sit-down dinner is mandatory - I think it will be a lot of fun - but we need to find out how others feel about it.

Yes, we do! :lol: - when the time gets closer, or whenever, we can get a meet together. There used to be meets posted on this site but I haven't seen them lately. They were quite informal...which is a good thing.
