Soundstage 1 Behind Walls!

Most likely behind doors, it was a pretty impressive animatronic. Disneys probably waiting to get the rights to use it again
Is this the truth though? I swear I remember a user on here stating that lawsuit had little to do with luxo rotting away. I could be wrong (please don't kill me if I am).

If DHS had 10 other great attractions, then the majority of people would just decide to play TSMM on their Wii when they got home (sat on a swivel chair to mimic the spinning effect).

The reason it's so popular is because there is so little else to do, even less it you have younger kids i.e. putting R&RC and ToT out of the equation.
Add plenty more rides and problem solved.

Exactly the same can be said for the Cinema180 (sorry Soarin') expansion over at Epcot.

Building another track is just a complete waste of space in the park and does nothing in attract more people. Let's hope Disney does the right thing and actually is building a new attraction in HS to make up for everything already shuttered right now. Even an indoor version of barnstormer right now would be a better additions then TSMM3.

I agree but there's also not a chance in hell that they'll ever reuse all of the vacant space in DHS, so they might as well spend a little bit of money to put this in. If there were no other plans to build new attractions then yes this would be ridiculous, but that's not the case. And as much as we would love for them to build a brand ne e ticket attraction in this space, we all know that's not an option. It's this or nothing and compared to nothing, this isn't such a bad deal.

It's quite a horrendous deal compared to what was on offer.

TSMM has daft lines due to a) not being designed for Fastpass let alone MagicalBands and b) the fact there is little else on offer for the demographic it attracts.

Imagine if a fun, family friendly hybrid dark ride coaster was built next door. It would be even better if the plans for it were sat on a shelf ready to begin work at a moments notice.

Why does it have to be "all or nothing"?

Monster's Inc. door coaster has been rumored for Soundstage 1 for years and years now. Now we're getting an added track to a ride that's very "meh" to a lot of guests. Yes, it's popular, but I don't find it to be all that special of an attraction. The third track does make some sense to me, but why should it be "either/or"? Give me the coaster, the third track, etc.

DHS is just begging for a high capacity, family friendly, video-heavy ride like Rat.
How painful is that the MI Coaster and Rat in an expanded Pixarland would help so much for comparatively little outlay in the parks key issues of appeal, branding, theme and capacity?

Even add in Cinemagique into Superstar or Sound theatre if the rights issues could be sorted out and so much could be achieved for little or no R&D and little new construction.

Shove a TS Playland behind MI and you've made a huge improvement even before adding stuff from a Galaxy far far away behind Indy.

So much for so little. Much like Epcot could be.

Cinémagique has a clever plot, black and white films, classics, some European too. You learn about movie history and film appreciation.

All of that disqualifies it for a modern American audience.

The Crush/Rat combo would make any park better, wouldn't mind a Monster coaster either. Toy Story Playland however ought to be nuked though, then buried beneath forty feet of concrete and salt mixed in the ground so nothing ever grows there again.

Overall, yes, it is sad to think how little investment is needed to adress so many issues in these parks. Too many managers have been cutting the WDW experience into the leanest possible production process. But WDW is not a factory, we and our vacations are not products to be assembled as efficiently as possible on a conveyor belt.

Yes
They need more attractions sure, but time to tap into some of the stories they haven't used yet. How much Toy Story do we need? There are other movies that have appeal..

Oh indeed. I only threw that in to appease the stroller brigade. It served it's purpose at WDSP but looks tacky and plastic and out of place in HKDL. As it would at DHA.

Maters Junkyard and the new LPS Flying Tyres replacement would be far more preferable. I'd even stretch to a spinner too if it sealed the deal. They can all be stuck in the new expansion area towards World Drive.

What does it mean by "DRAFT"? Is this official or is this something you made based on what you've been told? I ask because it seems to be in the same font you use for your videos.

Aren't those the rides rumored to be coming but rethemed to Toy Story? The only clone we're getting is RC Racer I believe.

I drew it. It is faithful to the actual design.

A few years back I was lucky enough to spend ten minutes looking over the actual designs and blueprints for the attraction. This is the one I memorised.

It looks like the exterior for Ride N Go Seek in Tokyo. It is weird though that they would've kept the red "Soundstage 1" signs on it.

It does. However this predated the TDL building. This was 2008.

The red signs would be in keeping with trying to hide any large building as a soundstage. Look at The GMR, RNRC and Sci Fi Dine In.
