Sisterly Shenanigans: One Lil Spark and Big Al's Gal attack WDW!

Welcome, welcome, WELCOME!

This is a very picture heavy trip report documenting our first ever 'Sister's Only' trip to WDW. Hopefully you will enjoy reading this as much as we enjoyed bringing it to you. Please note that this will probably take a day or two to finish and will come in many installations. At any point, you can check out my photo album on my profile page as well!

Now, on to the good stuff...

Featured Players:

Jennifer (One Lil Spark)

Celebrated birthday with trip to WDW.
Enjoys anything EPCOT Center and Carousel of Progress.
Known to randomly burst into song, usually something from EPCOT Center.

Elise (Big Al's Gal)
3326093334_f445e4720d_m.jpg

Younger of the two sisters.
Lover of all things Ariel and Big Al.
Life's goal is to star in the Voyage of the Little Mermaid at DHS.

Our story begins in the mountains of western North Carolina. I woke up bright and early to drive to Dayton, Tn where Elise goes to Bryan College. Once I picked her up, we were off to catch our flight! When we arrived at Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport, I somehow scored THE front row parking spot. Even though we were incredibly excited to be heading to WDW, I had a hard time leaving my car (which I've affectionately named Molly Weasley).

Drama oozed out of our flight in Chatty to Atlanta, but I won't get into that. (Grrr...) Finally holding our boarding pass made it feel all the more official! Elise's green eyes really burst with excitement, don't they?

After figuring out that Delta pretty much hates me, we were off! The view of the ocean of clouds helped calm me down on the cramped, small plane. All together now, Oooo... Ahhh...

We arrived in Atlanta for our larger, much more comfy flight to Orlando. During the lay over, we decided to play in the concourse. You'll soon see that we don't like to take serious pictures...

Once we were finally in the air for the final leg of our trip down, I decided to treat myself to a much deserved $7 Bloody Mary.

FINALLY, we landed, grabbed our luggage and met up with a friend who drove us home... Home on this trip was the All Star Sports!

More to come... Stay tuned, folks!

James and I almost had a Christian Bale inspired freak out when SM 101'ed and they turned on their lights... After almost trashing their lights, James and I decided we're done with Splash Mountain professionally...

Sadly, this is where our journey ends. When we walked out the gates and boarded the monoral over 15 hours after we arrived at MK that day, we concluded our WDW trip. James drove us (slowly) back to the AS:S for our final night's sleep. It was an emotional, bittersweet parting. Both Elise and I felt like we were saying goodbye to the long lost link to our family.

We had to be at the airport at 7am and barely remember getting back.

The final pictures I will leave you are...

I am wicked awesome at Delta in-flight trivia (I WON!)!!

And finally, here's what Elise and I look like when we're depressed, barely awake and realizing the absolute trip of a lifetime was officially over...

Again, a HUGE thank you is in order for James, Jackie, Katie, Marcia, Marcus, RON SCHNEIDER, Victoria, every single one of the over 100 CM's who wished me happy birthday over the 3 day span, and finally my very amazing CM friend who helped us realize our dream.

It was the best time I've had in my entire life.

Thank you for bearing with me until the bear end!

Yaaaaayyyy!!! The rest of the journey was posted!!! Booooooo...you had to go home, too. I always hate leaving. It was a great report and looks like y'all had a ball. Now that you're home and the trip report is complete that just means one thing: time to start planning the next adventure!

Thanks for an incredible read, lotsa laughs, and plenty of ideas for my May trip with my brother and his girls (it's the girls' inaugural trip).

Hugs to you, Elise/Ariel, James, and Company!

Crap! I meant to comment on the nails, too. That's so cool. I've been trying to explain to the ladies at the nail salon how to do those Mickey's for over a year but I think the idea is lost in the language barrier. Maybe next time I'll tell them, "Design. IIIIII will do it."

AAH!!

Where in MK IS THAT!? EVERY trip, I have hunted for it and never have been able to find it...I know it's in DL too...

It is right over the entrance tunnels before you walk under the train tracks. Normally they cover it up with a banner for the current celebration.

Jenn, I LOVED it! I truly was excited when you finished the report!! :sohappy: :sohappy:

Awesome trip report!!

I love your nails and all your great tees and the gear you bought on the rainy day. Where did you get the great tee shirts?

I love all the pics, and shenanigans, it gives me so many ideas for photo ops! (see we don't need those stupid view-blocking Kodak Photo Spots)

I love the Dinosaur pic of Elise-priceless! LOL And the one of y'all trying the Beverly is so funny! What great expressions!

The design on your sweatshirt: I managed to score a (car) magnet with the exact design. It is my favorite on my fridge :)

Thanks for sticking it out until the end! Sorry again it took so long to finish. Once I typed out, "The End" it was officially over. Very bittersweet.

Can't wait to see what fun you have with the girls. Your brother and you seem like a load of fun from your last TR. Throw girls into the mix and it sounds like you've got an amazing trip planned!

There were so many times I wanted to do one single picture with the thumbs up and pointing thing just for you.

The girl who does miy nails had a tool with tiny balls on each end of a stick. One side was slightly larger than the other. She poured a slight amount of black paint out and dipped the ball-y things and made the Mickeys. Perhaps you can ask them if they have the tool?

OOO!! Found a picture of what she used!

Not only was our beloved Sounds Dangerous closed, it was straight TORN DOWN! No Drew Carey. No signage. Nothing. It crushed my poor soul.

By the way, not Hogan Knows Best, but the E! True Hollywood Story of the Hogans.

GREAT trip report!!!! I loved every minute of reading it!!! Gives me lots of inspiration for my trip this July with my sister! 108 days!
You and your twin sister are going to have an amazing trip! Glad we gave you a few fun ideas.

Pure awesome, Jenn. Pure awesome.
YOU are pure awesome, Sir. Thank you again.

Almost all of our WDW clothing came from eBay if you can believe it. I stalked for months looking for the best stuff and was really pleased with what I was able to get before our trip was even offically in the works!

The hoodie design was so cool. I believe it was only on the kid's size though. Thank goodness I fit in the kids XL because I was not about to pay double for an adult size. That entire line of merch is great! It features Henry and Big Al from CBJ, Mr Toad, and other great classic characters that are rarely featured on items these days.

Elise is still highly embarrassed about her Dinosaur picture, but she needs to understand that it's too good to hide from the world. HA!

Your trip reports are always so great with your gorgeous family of boys. Thanks for reading mine and sticking it out until the end. :D
