Rumor: Disney World Indiana Jones Show Closing To Make Room For Star Wars

So, thinking out loud, if Echo Lake goes Star Wars, do H&V and 50's survive? Guess H&V could go Star Wars character dining but 50's wouldn't fit.

Star Wars land really does cause panic amongst some. The giveaway is the politicking for Carsland.

But even funnier is the fear of a Frozen overlay in WS. I know our resident Uni trolls have anxiety of 2 or 3 hour wait times becoming reality. But you know that is what would happen.

Who, one might reasonably ask, is it that you think is "panicked" over a Star Wars land in Hollywood Studios?

The 'fear' over a Frozen overlay of Maelstrom stems from the fact that - even if you think it the greatest idea since sliced bread - it is thematically inappropriate for World Showcase. You apparently are mistaking those who advocate upholding standards of show and presentation for fear.

Actually I believe it is temporary in that location. If it does well it could get a dedicated location. IMO.
If it's successful (which we know it would be just because of the IP itself) that WOULD be the dedicated location. No one would tear out a ride to make a better version in another park when the current ride is already a success. That's why it shouldn't happen to begin with and we should get the big ride that wouldn't be shoehorned into Norway NOW.

I am hoping that the walk through would be part of a queue for a larger and better attraction...Though I am sure Disney would prefer to build it as just the attraction...lol
Yes, plop it right down in the current location of the BAH and have it be the new outer queue to the Great Movie Ride. Hopefully, it will be short enough in height to reveal the Chinese Theater's facade again. Of course, I'd rather it be elsewhere, but I'd accept if over the existing hat.

And I am only countering the trolling from the Uni troops. I would not mind so much if they would just admit they have an agenda with every single thing they post on these boards.

Its one of the biggest phenomenons Disney has ever had, why would it need a temporary location as some sort of test of demand? The fanbase is huge, the demand just to meet two of the film's characters is proof enough that a full-fledged attraction, or even expanded mini-land, rather than a quick overlay would be successful. It might be temporary but it wouldn't be because TDO want to see how well it might do before they commit to a greater Frozen presence, the demand for anything to do with that film is obvious.

Disney should take out that boring Lights Action show at HS and build Cars land and then if they are going to take out Indiana Show add Star Wars Land but, should find a spot at HS for the Indiana Jones Ride like they have at Disneyland the ride is great. Not sure why they never added the Indie ride there??

Pick any part of DHS and you will likely find a rumor saying Star Wars will expand there.
I'm looking forward to the new FantaSidious! Nighttime Spectacular. Here's some concept art I just found in my mailbox of the climactic final encounter with Mickey during the show:

And then the crowd applauds (this is America, after all, we applaude everything).

Everybody please relax, it will be a couple of more years before the Indy show is gone. AIE will be empty again for a couple of years, then HS will finally get the make-over it deserves. MK is done, AK is in the middle of the getting its make-over, then when AK is done HS will get the attention it deserves. Let's just hope the Imagineers and Management do it right and get every last detail correct.

I thought the rumor was Star Wars would expand at Back lot area and Lights Motors Action would be closing?
I never remembered that being the rumor on this site, but Carsland was supposed to be in that area you mentioned before that was scrapped.

One of the problems with that rumor is Star Tours: The adventure continues is before Muppet-vision 3d. A Star Wars Land going that direction would have to start at Street of America around the area Muppetvision 3-D is.
