What week in August?

Yes I know...thread drift.
Aug 7thish-Aug11thish
It's a nice filler wafter you get done with the headliners. It's like JIYI.

BTW, I'll force you to ride it in Aug. :lookaroun
:fork:

Try me...

Only thing that bothers me is Nemo and The descent on SSE.

Nemo in the Seas - A decent enhancement, the reuse of the seacabs is great.
Current SSE - New life to an aging show, just wish they quited down the ride vehicles.
Mission Space - Meh.
Characters in WS - I don't mind characters, since so many of the movies are based off of fables and fairy tales of other countries.
WOL - I have never understood the love for this pavilion. I thought it was a half arsed addition from the get go.
Innoventions - Personally, I think it's getting back to its roots. I just want to see the windows opened up again!

Not current but in bad shape
JII - Terrible, just terrible. Un-imaginative, unispiring. A steamy pile of you know what.
UOE - The dinos still amaze me. Ellen, not so much. There's so much that could be done, and so simply.

Newer Epcot additions that I like
Soarin - Now it makes sense. You like the most pointless ride in FW.

Nemo in the Seas - It's alright, but I still miss the film.

Current SSE - I'm very happy with the new SSE. It's a shame they stopped before they finished it though.

Mission Space - Great addition that I truly love. It is solidly one of my top attractions. It's a shame we lost Horizons, but that wasn't M:S's fault.

Characters in WS - They tried not having them, it failed. Honestly, it doesn't change my experience in the slightest either way.

WOL -

Innoventions - ehh..better than it was, but it still needs work.

JII - Better than the last version, but it needs work. (hopefully soon, very soon)

UOE - another ehh.

Soarin - It's good, not worth all the fuss it gets, but good.

I don't know how long you've been going to EPCOT, but there have been characters in the WS as long as I can remember (1990). In fact, my only pictures with characters as a child are in the WS because it was easy to get your picture taken there. That was back when they would just stand there somewhere, and there would be a crowd. You just had to run in there and get your picture then leave.

I know they have been there along time but I still don't like it.

Not old, just vintage.
Getting back on topic, it is about damn time they fixed the tiles. They were such a ugly brown color and many of them were cracked. However, I think I may have had something to do with the cracked tiles. I know I have slipped and landed on my butt at least twice. :lookaroun

I don't get this attitude. Replacing such a small detail is good show -- Disney have nothing to lose by keeping the floor as-is, but they still aren't doing enough apparently. Yet whenever new attractions debut, people are quick to bring up that neon is broken and litter is on the ground. I'm not saying that we should be eternally satisfied now that Epcot has new floor tiles, but at least Disney are trying.
Correct. Even if it is just new flooring, in the big picture, it does matter - a lot! These things need to be going on all the time imo.

Nemo is great...It's just so wrong. Why not use the Sea Cabs in a FUTURISTIC sense?

WoL as a whole...Maybe. I just miss Buzzy and CC.

JII is Eh. I'm still thrilled that Figgy is back.

And yeah, the Dinos still get me in UoE:eek:

As im sure your no doubt aware those rumors have been around for at least ten years now
Yes, and acted upon in earnest recently.

Disney characters were not a part of EPCOT, nor were they supposed to be. They only made brief appearances in Oddesey and during shows.

Instead, they had creepy, big headed ethnic characters for each country.

Agreed, but they would still be closed now if the Nemo overlay wasn`t pushed. Worst case, the whole pavilion would be closed. Think of it as a means to an end. The current pavilion still has too many flaws compared to the UT days but it`s better than walls.

By the late 80`s they were doing regular meet and greets around both parts of the park as well as the stage shows and bus tours.

The rule of them not being a part of the park didn't last very long.

Right I know that, and I don't remember seeing them in Future World, even now I don't ever really see them.

I don't mind if they're in the World Showcase, but I don't like them in FW.

Have you not seen the Rainbow Bright outfits?
