Off Topic Time!

I wondered whatever happened to that Communicore carpet where that EPCOT 25 Exhibit used to be.

I always wished to grab a piece of that carpet for my bedroom. I recalled how during the refurb, they left the sliding door open. I took a quick peek in, and saw a dumpster with a reddish color among the other new carpet piles. Oh, if I was brave enough, but getting kicked out of EPCOT crossed my mind, and thankfully, I didn't go through.

:lol::sohappy:

WANT. Badly.

They should have left it in the C25 Gallery...That would have been awesome.

I thought people said they were working a section at a time...so maybe it's not finished?
Probably.

The part I'm specifically referring to would extend out into the central area, which makes me wonder how much of the walkway they are going to change?

Yes HKDL and DCA get huge expansions and WDW gets new floors at Deadcot... I mean Epcot, looks okay though thanks for the update.

I don't get this attitude. Replacing such a small detail is good show -- Disney have nothing to lose by keeping the floor as-is, but they still aren't doing enough apparently. Yet whenever new attractions debut, people are quick to bring up that neon is broken and litter is on the ground. I'm not saying that we should be eternally satisfied now that Epcot has new floor tiles, but at least Disney are trying.

Not only that, but it's the sign of good things to come!:D

This is a very practical idea indeed...yet it's just one more small piece of the original EPCOT to disappear.

Not sure if you mean original as in around when the park opened, or original as is replaced/repaired with identical products, but doesn't Disney redo most of the concrete walkways every few years anyway? Always seem to see refurb pics showing portions of walk cordoned off while they repave it.

Well I can't get the photo to insert here, but in image 3 of 4 the tan-ish lines come to an abrupt end, almost like they should continue until they merge.

It could be nothing or it could be the start of a revamp of that central area.
Give it time - there are some pesky tarp poles in the way at the moment...

This is such an ill informed comment. Epcot has received tons of love in the past few years.

Your perception is skewed.

You are right and probaly more than the other three parks. My problem is I don't like most of the TLC that Epcot has gotten or the direction the park is heading. Epcot is my favorite park so I will tend to be overly critical. Unlike the direction DHS is headed I just don't like the new Epcot.

Honestly....Recent additions have not been that bad, save for TLSwithNemo.
