Might as well give my opinion with the options listed previously:

The Seas with Nemo
- It does rejuvenate that part of FW, but it has no relation to the future.
They could add displays that deal with marine activity in the future.

SSE07 - Where is everyone getting that it isn't finished? I have the feeling that the descent is most likely done.
They could do more with the descent, except people will most likely be more focused on their video they created.

Mission Space - Good but short thrills. Only related thing to the future. :(

Characters in WS - They do bring a bit of excitement to their origins.

WOL - WHY, Disney, WHY?????? :fork: They could've convince any pharmaceutical company to refurb and renew the pavilion, but I guess it's more profitable to create a special events pavilion. Everytime I go there, it feels so eerie, with attractions waiting to be ridden. There's World Showplace, which IMO could've held another country! Why is there the need for two??

Innoventions
- It's meant as a fun time-waster. Where's the Fire is fun. Yes, I am aware it isn't really much about the technological future now, save the House of Tomorrow, but it is in some parts about your personal future (GPBA) in a cartoonish form.

JII
- The tune is catchy, the current lyrics aren't.
It is nice to have Figment back, and the place is appealing to the eyes, but I think it is time to re-imagine this attraction.

UOE - I happen to enjoy this attraction. I wish they make more use on newer energy resources and ideas.

TT
- Just for thrills only. Absolutely nothing with the future! The only thing is the fuel cell car in the post-show, but even that doesn't generate interest with people. Make it interesting yet intriguing on the car of tomorrow!

Soarin' - Love the queue BGM, the actual ride is nice. I noticed yesterday, though, I think if they dropped the Soarin' TO California theme and switch it to something else, like Soarin' (Over the World), I would be pleased. They can even keep the attraction score!

I've said it before, I'll say it again. Future World's name needs to be changed. Flame me all you want, but it's never going to be the Future World of the 80s again. The name needs to be changed.

As you wish...:fork::fork::fork::fork::fork:

I know it will never be the 80's again, but they can mld it after that. Use the optimism, the creativity. Why change the name!?

I think Discovery World fits beautifully for the area. And that way, you won't have people complaining every 5 minutes the minute an attraction becomes dated. It's almost impossible to keep up with the future. They could change UoE next month, and a week later some energy breakthrough could occur that horribly out dates the ride.

Change the name to Discovery World, and you don't have a problem.

I agree and was flamed for this but don't worry you make it.

I really disagree. Discovery World is so generic. Future World is THERE. It's in your face. It tells you something. I agree on the dating part....But that only calls for something that EPCOT is supposed to be...Constantly changing.;)

But, honestly it's impossible to constantly overhaul attractions(I'm not talkin routine refurbs).

And I don't get how Future is less generic than Discovery.

Nor am I...I am talking about Innoventions. If done right, it could be the star of EPCOT.

And Future? It's the only one of it's kind. MK has Tomorrowland, DLP, Discovery...TDS Discovery Bay...:snore:

What so everyone can moan things have changed :veryconfu They are only changing some brown floor tiles and I have seen a few moaners post! WDWMagic would go into melt down if we had too much change. On the subject of change in Epcot all the restrooms seem to be getting an refub over the past couple of years. I noticed back in May the ones by the lockers had been done and so had the ones in the same building as MouseGear store.

Exactly. Many of the people complaining that change is needed are the same ones that want to bring back Horizons or Timekeeper. Armchair Imagineer forums largely consist of people wanting to add slightly-retooled versions of attractions like Innerspace or Superstar Television rather than new attractions. What most people really want is something new and the same, but those are diametric opposites. How can you have change without changing something?

Wouldn't Discovery World bring problems since there other parks that uses the term World of Discovery?

This is what I think.

The Seas with Nemo -While not futuristic it is a vast improvement over the previous version. The pavilion looks great and has some interesting things. The ride could be better though.

SSE07 - The descent did not bother me one bit. I was too pre-occupied with my screen to notice. Wish they could at least add some lighting though. The rest of the ride is perfect.

Mission Space - Way too short with a muddled storyline. Still a nice way to pass time and the theming is pretty good.

Characters in WS - Why bother.

WOL - I really wish they would do something with this space. People were stopping and looking between it and their park map.

Innoventions
- Never go.

JII
- Needs a nice big update. The only saving grace is the music. Otherwise, it is just a short ride that breaks down constantly for me.

UOE - Personally my favorite ride in a Disney park along with the current film. Definitely needs an update and some modifications though.

TT
- Great theming but far from futuristic. The ride is really fun though.

Soarin' - One of the best scores in a park. The ride is also nice but it could use as new film and some aesthetic improvements.

Victoria

Not old, just vintage.
It never ceases to amaze me that a thread about new floor tiles can turn into a debate about the pros and cons of characters in EPCOT, personal evaluations of all the pavilions in FW, and criticism of management. Maybe it is just me, but I am not seeing the connection.
