Most Suprisingly Good Item You Ever Had at Disney

They haven't had the pineapple for a couple of years now... instead they have the bread pudding with bananas foster sauce... mmmm....
Thanks. When we went in Sept. 2007 they already had the bread pudding, but still had the pineapple for guests who requested it. Not this time. But the bread pudding is really good too. I'm not a coconut fan, but you can hardly taste the coconut in the bread.

Years ago, my wife and I made reservations for Le Cellier and we were excited because we had heard the steaks were so good there.

When we arrived and were seated, we were asked to choose an appetizer.
My wife had the salad and because I'm not a salad guy, I ordered the Canadian Cheese Soup.

I was like, soup, ho hum..how good can soup be?

But when the soup arrived, it knocked my socks off. It was the best soup I have ever had.

When the steak arrived, I ate it and really enjoyed it and I remember asking the waitress if she had the recipe for the soup.

The chef was nice enough to give me the recipe for the Canadian Chedder Cheese soup... so about twice a year I make it and my wife and I LOVE it.

Just about anything at Boma.....I didn't have a clue what to expect going there, and I was so glad we did, probably has become one of the must do stops every time we are there. Also one of the places I almost recommend to anyone who hasn't tried it.

My DH would say the salad dressing at O'Hana's. It's like a citrus type dressing and he was practically licking the bowl. I mean, this is a man who will eat salad if you put it in front of him, but sheesh!

The chicken at Tangerine Cafe. I knew it would be OK, it's roasted chicken....but Great Jiminy Crickets! I have to get it every visit.

I was thinking about that one too. It is very good. I think it is honey lime vinegarette.

I got a steak in 06 at Alfredos and it was amazing. I didnt use any sauce, salt, pepper, or anything. It was just that good. I still am bitter I will never have it again.

I absolutely loved the pineapples with caramel sauce at 'Ohana last year. A couple of weeks ago, our server told us they didn't have it any more.

(Do you know if that's true, Rainfully? I see from another thread you're a Poly CM. Thanks.)

Sadly, this is true! Our past two dinners at Ohana have included a bread pudding (banana bread, I think) which was delicious, but I miss the pineapple--and also the pupu platter!

The pot roast at Cap'n Jacks in DTD. No, I am not opposed to pot roast, but I was surprised to find it on the menu of a seafood restaurant. Our waitress recommended it and boy, was she correct! Yum-may!:slurp:

I really wanted to try the salmon dish at Artist's Point but was put-off by the side of pork-belly hash. That just sounded gross to me.

But I was wrong. The whole dish was delicious and perfectly seasoned. Loved the hash! Belly and all.
