Potter is a threat to WDW's merchandising department though. I've honestly never seen people spending money in the theme park like I saw at WWoHP on Friday. It was remarkable. If the majority of European visitors go to IOA first and they get the first shot at their wallets, it will affect Disney. Nothing earth shatter, but they will take notice.

And the reports of people not fitting into FJ have been greatly over exaggerated, IMO. I'm 6'3" 240 and found the seating to be much roomier and more comfortable than the coasters in the park.

I doubt that number is correct. Besides, even if you miss the cut, all you have to do is suck in your gut a bit and you can make it just fine.

If Imagination would close in two years for a year-long (theoretically) refurb, changing costumes now seems irrelevant, unless someone in management is jumping the gun quite a bit.

This is what i believe. I think someone in management is starting to jump the gun and going full speed ahead on a major Imagination refurb.

I wouldn't get your hopes up. If you are referring to the CM in the Orlando Sentinel photos :

This is not a new costume, this is just a "floater" costume that can be used at any Epcot attraction.

True, but I've been hearing that some of the problems come with having a large chest, not necessarily a big gut. Much harder to suck in a chest.

Most people don't realize this, but the Imagination right itself is a veiled criticism of TDO by the Imagineers.

"I believe Imagination should be captured and controlled."

Versus the Imagineers (i.e. Figment):
"Imagination should be set freeeeeeeeeeeeeee!"
