More Changes for JII rumored on Twitter

Hey everyone is agreement that this is one of many attractions in epcot and that matter the park that needs to be upgraded, but I hope they keep the original idea of the pavillion in place. Epcot needs to stay educational and expanded ones views and horizons.

For example the Land Ride my six year loved it this past year because he thought the way they were growing all the food etc was so cool. It has been four months and he still talks about it.

That type of advancing ideas is what we still need. We need rides that when we get off keep you thinking and while giving you a thrill as well.

This wouldn't be the place for a trill ride and there has never been a rumor that it would be

I agree that this should not be a thrill ride... I was using the term sarcasticly because it seems that is what most people want everywhere at the park.

I really feel every ride should give you a thrill in some way shape or form from just getting off and saying did you see that? OR did you know that? Rides provide thrills in many different ways it does not always need to be in a supercharged coaster.

This is the ride system I have heard will be used

Pooh’s Hunny Hunt loads three hunny buckets at a time. Each bucket holds four guests, two in the front and two in the rear. As the ride begins, all three vehicles move forward simultaneously, one, two, three. There is no track on the floor so the buckets are free to move about randomly.

A short distance away, all three vehicles come to a stop in front of a giant storybook, which comes to life as Christopher Robin and Winnie the Pooh set the mood for the adventure to come

A moment later, you leave this area, but not in the same order as you arrived. Now, vehicle number three is in the lead, followed by two and one. Next stop, the Blustery Day room. As you enter this large area, your vehicles seem to have minds of their own. Each hunny pot takes a different route and roams around the room as the wind causes a number of events to unfold.

As each vehicle wanders about, you’ll see most, but not all of the goings on. Each hunny pot experiences things a little differently. When you leave this room, vehicle number two is in the lead, followed by one and three.
Next you enter the Bounce Room where Tigger is your host. All three vehicles come to a stop, then the entire floor begins to bounce up and down. At the same time, the trees and plants that surround the room spring to life, but they bounce independently from the floor. All the while, Tigger can be seen hopping from one screen to the next in the background. The effect is fantastic. You really are immersed in the middle of everything.
As you leave this room, you travel backwards down a long hallway with car number one in the lead, followed by three and two. Eventually you make another stop, this time to watch Pooh fall asleep and go into his dream state. This effect is the same as the one seen at Florida and California.
From here you enter the Heffalumps and Woozles Room. This is the best area of all! As you enter this “fun house,” you join four other hunny pots already in the midst of things. Three of the hunny pots are occupied by other guests and the fourth contains several Heffalumps and Woozles.
At this point, your three vehicles join the Heffalumps and Woozles’ hunny pot and create a circle. Then the four of you rotate around each other. After you make a couple of revolutions, you break away from the group and start your crazy journey around the room. At the same time, the vehicles that were already in the room when you arrived take their exit. As they leave, a fresh group of hunny pots join the room and create a new circle with the Heffalumps and Woozles.

Now traveling independently from the other hunny pots, your vehicle moves from one gag to the next, stopping momentarily to view the event, then moving on – sometimes forward, sometimes backwards.
It seems to be complete chaos, seven hunny pots moving about randomly. It’s sheer delight. Eventually, it’s time for your group of hunny pots to leave the room, only to be replaced by a new group of three.
Your final stop brings you to Pooh covered in honey

When you eventually reach the unloading area, car number three is in the lead, followed by two and one. And I guarantee, you’ll want to hop right back on and experience this ride again. Unfortunately, by this time, all of the Fast Passes are gone and it’s an hour-and-a-half to two hour wait for the standby line.
If you are lucky enough to ride this attraction multiple times, be sure to request a different hunny pot on each occasion as the sights and experience is slightly different depending on the car you’re in

Exactly use this system is perfect for JII use this system with the DF and Figgy storyline and you get an epic E-ticket imo!

I would love to see something along those lines. However, reading about that TDL ride always makes me think about how outdated the dark rides on MK's Fantasyland are. :(

This is an exception through the rest of the TDL dark rides are right along the lines of WDW. IN fact until last year they still had the Mickey Mouse Review that left WDW in the 70's or 80's playing.

Yeah, they do have the Monsters Inc. Ride and Go Seek, though, which is equally impressive. I want to eventually ride those attractions, but I hope I won't have to go to Tokyo for that.

I can dream, right?!

MI:RaGS is AWESOME. ITA. :sohappy:

Also, Tokyo Disneyland has 1950's Dumbo and the Star Jets. It's like they love new attractions, but won't pay attention to the old ones rofl

Not to be a killjoy here, but there have been "plans" for Imagination 4.0 for a long time. It's just that TDO won't approve them. Like everyone else, I'm excited about the many ways that 21st century technology can be utilized to bring us a truly imaginative Journey into Imagination. I just can't get too happy about it when nothing has been confirmed, especially in light of the other rumors that Kodak is about to leave. Unsponsored EPCOT pavilions generally don't get a lot of love.

Believe me, if the rumors are true about a new E-ticket with the Hunny Hunt ride system, the severe overload of joy I experience will probably cause me to lose bladder control. I just can't get excited until I hear official confirmation and see construction walls go up. After all, we've been burned before.

3 different sets for at least 3 years now.

All I say is LPS is being installed in HKDLs Mystic Manor. And we know how TDO like others to do the R&D for them.

And no, this isn`t a hint that LPS or V4 has been greenlit. Just an educated observation.

Right. People, Disney PR always says they've got plans for this or plans for that. It doesn't mean anything. So until you see a construction wall up in front of JII, don't go getting excited. You're just going to be let down.

Just watched today the Attractions Magazine coverage of Eo's opening.

In an interview with Joe Tankersley, show producer for EO, he was asked if there anymore plans for the Imagination Pavilion, in which he replied; "Yes"

And that plan is for them to do precisely nothing.

Martin, this is slightly OT but should JII 4.0 ever come out, would you be willing to detail the other proposals they have/have had? Maybe in another awesome tribute vid?

I hate to break up the negativity but if it is coming from someone within WDI I would take it as genuine. Also Captain EO gives them a perfect excuse to take down Journey for refurb. The problem is whether TDO will let them and I don't know why but I get a somewhat optimistic feeling which is especially rare nowadays for me.

The laid new carpet and changed the design of the theater, they wouldn't have done all of that if HISTA was coming back in a few months.

Still the same design. Just a new precenium made of metal frames and canvas. Nothing more than what any touring show brings with them.

In an interview with Joe Tankersley, show producer for EO, he was asked if there anymore plans for the Imagination Pavilion, in which he replied; "Yes"

He could mean it as "Yes we do have plans...to leave it alone." We really don't know.

Your final stop brings you to Pooh covered in honey.

Not quite my idea of a finale.

This ride system is anything but new. There are even some factories using it currently to give tours. It's been around for about 10 years now. But again, with all of the floor space needed (flat floor space), it would be easier to either tear down the entire building and start from scratch rather then gutting the floor of the current building as old as it is. Save that system for another pavilion with a flat floor and giant space already available...hmm...UOE?
