If they can afford it, everyone should visit WDW at least once.I'd love to stay and argue with you negative people...but I have several Disney quotes to do today for a few families
People just seem to love going to that stale place that is falling apart and offers nothing...I don't know why
Just down the road from Disney in Tampa. Next to Bush Gardens, the nature theme park that makes DAK look like a children's playground with overgrown bamboo:
A mall with trams, shopping, nightlife and elevated walkway. All for free. Nearby luxury hotels $75.
It's a shopping mall themed as 'lakeside turn-of-the-century small town Florida'. Complete with Starbucks and Splitsville. To make it truly indistinguishable from 'the Disney Difference', it even has 'oversized everyday objects' for a theme.
The best defence is an offence it seems.
Now, these wow attractions?
To @WDWDad13
People are going to gang up on you, as seen through these last few pages, if you don't provide examples to back up your assertions. Simply laughing them off or dismissing them isn't going to make your argument look any better. In actuality, it makes it look worse.
I do have sympathy for you though because nobody has been taking your side and it is tough when everyone is against you. So I give you credit for standing your ground.
Liking Disney more than Uni doesn't make you a bad person. Just you have to understand there are other people who like Uni as much as you like Disney. And they have a different viewpoint. If you get offended when someone insults Disney, why would you hurl insults at the place other people enjoy? Do you see my point? There's nothing wrong with having fun at a place and there's nothing wrong with passion. But as a Disney fan myself, even I realize when things are not what they once were. Attractions are in states that 20 years ago would have never been considered show quality. But more importantly, just go look back at the history of wdw in the 70s 80s and 90s. Look at the pictures, examine the attractions then compare them to what is offered today. Any passionate Disney fan can notice a decline. I'm not saying Disney is done. I'm saying it's in a declining state of show quality and an increasing state of ticket prices.
Overall we should all just be accepting to others. Two wrongs don't make a right, so if insults are hurled at Disney you don't agree with, then react calmly, and cite specific examples to counter their point, rather than just dismiss the point, cite no counter examples, and compare Uni to mcdonalds.

Heck, they also should visit Universal at least once.
Still no new 'wow' attractions for WDW though?
@WDWDad13 try not to use sarcastic or belittling comments when trying to deflect a question or statement. Experience shows this just provoke some of the more.... Hot headed... Members. And I use that as a term of endearment. We were all there once. Basically, you're a dad it seems. Don't sink to a teenage level. We don't all bite. But we like a good discussion.
I got one for ya... Little Mermaid... That is a WOW attraction, as in WOW THAT IS THE BEST THEY CAN DO? or WOW THAT WAS BAD...Still no new 'wow' attractions for WDW though?
I wonder if disney Springs will be able to compete with it. The massive boats only give it a further edge over WDW.I thoroughly enjoy Channelside and have for many years. I love watching the boats go in and out.

Jimmy Hick: WDW's Village/Downtown/Springs may not have the splendid sight of a fifteen story high cruiseship. But they can beat it if they had, say, a classic paddlewheel steamboat...
Please stay. There is no discussion without diverging opinion. (Which is a blessing, not an affront).I give up. You guys have fun.
This is such a waste of time
I love this site for news and the occasional rumor, but some of forum members try to make everything a competition, they are always right, and talk down anyone that thinks differently
End of my discussion in here
