The breaking point for me was, geez, the first year after the Simpsons ride opened, I think... I was visiting friends in the area... We had HHN tickets for the night, so we decided to make a day of it at Universal... This would have been my first HHN visit... Notice I said WOULD HAVE BEEN...

Anyway, I had been to Universal before, but it didn't really leave an impression... But HHN was something we all wanted to do... So, during this course of the day, we got bored, noticed the parks looking in rough shape, and encountered many horrible Team Members, many of them not smiling, acting grumpy, not helping the guests, and being down right rude... The boiling point happened at Simpsons...

We took our seats in the vehicle, but the Team Member continued to bark orders, like we were a bunch of children... Everyone (6 of us) had to stand up, exit the car, and enter again, this time switching tallest for shortest in the front/back... I don't know if the vehicle had just malfunctioned, or what the issue was, but the Team Member was not getting the go to start the attraction... And she only got more and more rude... The final straw was when she yelled on top of her lungs about no one knowing how to follow instructions... I told her we are all adults, no need to talk to us like little children, and I stormed out... I went right to Guest Services and lodged a complaint...

The girls at GS were great I must say... They quickly put the cooling water on a fiery situation... The manager of the area for the Simpsons came over, took my statement, and promised he'd look into the matter... Then, the crap really hit the fan when a GS manager came out.. SHe asked the girls what the situation was, and she quickly dismissed us and our complaint because, ready?? We were wearing "Disney" shirts... I was the only one wearing one, a pirates of the caribbean jersey... When she said that, I blew a gasket.. I had an annual pass at that time, and made them cancel the pass (I was on the monthly payment plan, and I refused to pay them another cent)... At the same time, my friend demanded our money back for the HHN tickets, which we all know they never do.... But they did for us in this instance...

I lodged a second complaint when I returned home from the vacation, vowing to never step foot in their dirty, disgusting, and horribly run parks ever again... The manager I spoke with offered me two free park hopper passes when I visited next... I took them up on the offer a few months before Wizarding World opened... And what a difference a year or two made... Friendly Team Members, clean parks, well run and efficient... And just tons of fun to be had... Wasn't bored at all, not even for 1 minute... Wish I could say the same for being in the WDW parks this park October, when I couldn't wait until the day was done cause boredom crept in pretty quick...
Wait a second. According to some people here that's not how you get things turned around in a theme park. Your supposed to make excuses and accept the situation for what it is. Who would of thought that enough customer complaints combined with guests choosing not to return would make a difference. You are a trail blazer sir! On a serious note though, good for you. Wish more people wouldn't accept sub par standards and customer service.

Thing is, a certain company is too ego driven... Complaints fall on deaf ears... They don't want to be told they have a crumbling product or poor guest satisfaction... Don't you know their (rigged) surveys say guests couldn't be happier with broken AA's and attractions which are not show ready? Their surveys say guests love having stress just to book a magical vacation... Their surveys tell them guests just LOVE to be reamed by a mouse, and pick pocketed by crooks in suits who pass themselves off as theme park experts.... And hey, why should they listen to real concerns and complaints by real paying guests when they have members on WDWMagic and other fan sites to defend them? And also they have their paid off mouth pieces (some call them wh*res) Lou and Ricky telling people the parks have never been better... I mean, after all, they are breaking attendance records (notice they never reveal the attendance so they could truly say anything without showing one bit of proof) because who needs innovative rides and fully themed lands... DISNEY GIVES US NEW PAINT SCHEMES FOR THEIR BUSES!!!!!

I respect the fact that people defend Disney out of love. But they don't realize that Disney takes their kindness and everlasting love as a sign of weakness that they can prey on and suck their wallet dry. I think the apologists believe that some Disney spy is lurking on these boards and will notice them and give them a job as an Imagineer or something because they defend Disney no matter what.

Or they have such an unhealthy addiction, like a few bloggers and podcasters do, they are hoping for freebies from Disney if they defend them to their death (or last red cent Disney will extract from their savings account which ever comes first)....

Do the freebies they get ever make it worth all the time and money they put into their blog/podcast? I'm sure for the top dogs like Lou it's worth it but for those that just get a free lunch at CG it's gotta be a loss of time and money

I would love to so a poll on the ages of everyone here.

Not trying to be mean or make that sound bad, but I have a hunch many especially the WDE badgers are all around a certain age group

God bless the "Ignore" button.
Disney Springs isn't considered an attraction?

I see the gray area. Depending on your personal definition, "attraction" can be a ride or show within the park (like it is for me), or a broader term to define anything that people would do for leisure, like DTD, CW, or even a mall.

Well a lot of people take time or a day (or more) to explore there so when Disney springs comes around it'll be even bigger so ya know.

In all seriousness no.

It's an upscale shopping mall with plenty of places to eat.

Again, in all seriousness.

Let's go with shopping mall, After all we have not seen a tenant list yet so how up or downscale is yet to be seen, So far the only known non-Disney tenant is Starbucks, So Disney Springs may yet end up being the worlds largest Starbucks store...

Call it what you will be it is an attraction people go to and spend time at in the Walt Disney world Resort just like city walk is an attraction people go to at Uniland

The waterparks and mini golfs courses I would consider attractions as well

Definition of attraction: a thing or place that draws visitors by providing something of interest or pleasure

And that's in all serious

That definition just makes about everything an attraction and has no basis in the term's historic usage.
