Marvel coming to WDW?!?!

Point is that the actual colaboration was done before. Also, like @AEfx said, ILM is run independently/agnostically and has done effects for just about everyone under the sun since its inception.
Such digital media is not one and done. It isn't just Industrial Light and Magic that doesn't care. Walt Disney Pictures doesn't mind paying Universal for access to Universal Studios Hollywood.

For those in the know... if WDW's ToT is spared, does it seem like we'll see GotG come to WDW in some other way? RnR? Perhaps someone will come to their senses and replace Stitch? Or -- crazy thought -- even a brand new attraction for that IP?

To lose it to some generic CGI Marvel piece of s*** film theme would be a disaster.

I'm not happy about the rumor re-theme either, but let's get one thing straight- GOTG was neither generic nor a piece of... stuff. You may not have LIKED it, and that's fair. Some people don't like chocolate, does that make chocolate a sh... er.... STUFFY flavor? No.

And, it was a radical departure for Marvel, so much so that many were predicting that it would be the "jump the shark" film for the studio (Admittedly there were some who were saying the same thing about the Avengers and Ant-Man before & after, respectively, and they weren't right then, either). It was both a commercial and critical success. One can certainly see why Disney would want to implement into the parks, and why many fans would eagerly embrace it, provided they stay the heck away from the Tower.
