Enter the park at rope drop, down the left side of Main Street, left towards Pirates as our first ride and basically just follow all around finishing back up at Tomorrowland. Discovered creme cheese stuffed pretzels in Tomorrowland - yum. :slurp: We can usually see and do all by 3pm and then leave and go to Epcot. We shop as we come to the shops and stores rather then waiting tiil end of the day.

First morning - call at Main St bakery for cinnamon rolls for breakfast and sit at the tables near the Plaza to people watch, plan and think 'yes we're really here'

My old routine was booking down main street and heading into Tomorrowland first. Nowadays I like to make a pre-opening breakfast reservation & take pics of the nearly empty park. Then I usually head into Fantasyland to beat crowds on some of those rides and work clockwise or counter after that.

I don't have a specific routine, but I most prefer Adventurland/Frontierland in daylight, and Fantasyland/Tomorrowland at night. I don't like to switch it around, when I can help it. :p

1. Breakfast at Main St. Bakery...baked french toast, croissants, turnovers, etc...yes, all at once.

2. Then we just do what we feel according to the amount of people in the park, weather, etc...

3. Philharmagic, Pirates, Haunted mansion, Peter Pan, Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, IASW, etc...

4. Then Main St. Bakery again before SpectroMagic...Banana Bread pudding and Turnover for me while my wife goes to get popcorn...grab our favortie spot to watch Wishes...

Pre-child it was toward Adventureland first then around the wheel, but know we do 2 1/2 days at the MK. Out first full day we do a couple rides around the Toontown entrance to be there when the rope drops for the meet end greets.

I've never experienced rope drop but from reading some of your posts I'm getting the impression there is more than one!?Like after you get onto Main street usa do the other areas not open for a while?! We're doing rope drop on the first day of our holiday this year so I just want to be one of you 'in the know' hehe!

Looks like I run against the grain here! My husband and I like to sleep in, so we start @ Tomorrowland around lunchtime and eat at Cosmic Ray's, hit up Philharmagic and a few other rides in Fantasyland, ride Haunted Mansion twice, go to the HoP, eat dinner at Pecos Bill's (mmm...giant Taco Salad), ride SM and TM, ride PotC, and then do the SFR tree and the Jungle Cruise after dark. After that we wander through the shops until Wishes starts.

Having a cinnamon roll is a new routine for us in the morning. We have done that 2 trips in a row now but only once per trip. I really do enjoy doing that. Its fun to people watch and wonder where they are off too.

On our first MK day we always get there at opening and start with Pirates and work our way towards the right. We can usually get through at least a few rides in Fantasy Land before "break." When we go back later we start with Buzz and work our way left towards where we left off.

Nothing against the grain there, sounds like an awesome day to me!

- Walk down Main Street and Head to Space Mountain
- If Space Mountain has a short wait, ride it, otherwise grab a FP and board TTA (sometimes I'll grab a FP and STILL get in line)
- Buzz Lightyear
- Space Mountain
- Tomorrowland Speedway (sometimes, not always)
- Train to Frontierland
- Grab a Splash Mountain FP and get in line for BTMRR (or vice-versa)
- Most of the time I re-ride both
- Pirates of the Carribbean
- Grab a Jungle Cruise FP
- Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse (not always)
- Sometimes I re-ride Pirates and/or the Haunted Mansion before heading back to JC
- Jungle Cruise
- Grab a Peter Pan FP
- Mickey's Philharmagic
- Haunted Mansion (if still waiting for Peter Pan)
- Peter Pan
- It's a Small World (if I don't skip it altogether)
- Snow White (not always)
- Winnie the Pooh (not always)

This is my general line of attack...it's my basic pattern. I might change it up when I go in September since Space Mountain and TTA will be closed. I didn't include my meal breaks/snacking time...that's usually when I take the time during the FP waiting to really absorb the general atmosphere and people watch. Sometimes I even take a round trip train ride. I usually skip Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor, Stitch's Great Escape, Carousel of Progress and Country Bears Jamboree because I don't really like them...once was enough for me.
