Well they've already greenlit the new movie, written by Jason Segel, so there's definitely hope.
Let's hope its good. The muppets need a serious reboot, they're so dead in the water right now.

Oh believe me. I've done plenty armchair Imagineering for a restaurant and a ride for the area. Maybe if I have the time I'll post them soon.

Looking forward to it...
Sounds fantastic! That would make for a very amusing dinner...:lol:I have my faith invested in Segel. In every interview he's done about it, he's shown a great knowledge and love for these characters. I don't think he'll let us down.
Well, the restaurant is really one of my pride and joy ideas. It would be a dinner show much like Hoop Dee Doo. You would enter an exact replica of the Muppet Show theater, and it would have 3 levels of seating. Each table would also have a TV above it that gave you a view of the kitchen, where the Swedish Chef would be shown preparing your meals. And when I say your meals, I mean your meals. Your server would program in what you ordered, and the Chef would find some wacky way of preparing it. And then, on the main stage, AAs would performs classic Muppet Show skits.
Then the ride would be a hybrid of the originally planned Great Muppet Movie Ride and Indiana Jones. The story would be, that Muppet Labs has recently invented a machine that would allow passengers to enter famous scenes from the movies. Only once you start your adventure, you'll notice that most of these scenes don't include actors, but Muppets instead. I've got a couple really good ideas for gags. But then, in one scene something goes wrong, and sends your vehicle flying through action and horror sequences pitting you against some of the movies' most evil villains.

For those of you who are interested in the original concept for the "Great Muppet Movie Ride" that SirGoofy referred to in his post (as well as the Great Gonzo's Pandemonium Pizza Parlor), you can read about it here:
