Lost Season 4 -- Oceanic 6 -- or was that 7?

First and foremost... the whole "Which is what makes....time.....travel....possible....." scenes were AWESOME. I mean they even had the scale model Hill Valley. We laughed our BUTTS off tonight. And Daniel does almost a better Doc Brown than Doc Brown does.

All right, if only just for the fact that I instantly drew parallels to "Back to the Future", this was one of my favourite LOST episodes of all time. Even my mom commented on it! I half-expected Dan to discover a Delorean in the jungle alongside where Hurley's VW bus was.

So I have been rewatching through all the episodes and prior to last night's show I just finished the first season.

Anyway... did any of you pick up on this? The journal that was auctioned off was from a survivor of a shipwreck. The name of the ship they said was the Black Rock. That's the ship that was on the island where all the dynamite was stored. Since I had just watched the first season it was fresh in my memory so I got it right away.

So has this been discussed? Coincidence? :veryconfu

Yep! It's the Black Rock we know is on the island. Also interesting was that the book was donated (?) by Hanso, not to mention bought by Widmore!

LOVED the episode! :sohappy: It was twisted, but I loved it.

Random question... remember "Adam and Eve" in one of the earlier seasons...? Did someone say that "Eve" was pregnant? DH and I were discussing posible storylines and this question came up. I began to think so, but it may just be because I want to think so...

Think Michael opened the door? Think the Losties really KNOW how they got off the island, or are they really just traveling through time via their conscious and "found their constant" so they can stay in the future...?

I love how the idea of time travel/time warp goes along with the theme of the show all along--flashbacks and fastforwards. Man! This twist will definitely make it worth it to go back and watch the whole show again!
Okay... forget the "Eve" being pregnant thing. I don't think she was. But, thinking about where this show seems to be headed, I'm SURE this is not the last we've seen of the pair. (... or the first! :lookaroun)

So I just watched that episode (a bit late) and it was one of the GREATEST things I have ever seen on TV. Every part of it was amazing. I almost cried during the phone call. It was so well written. Wow. This season is proving to be very very good.

I think I must have choked on my chips when I heard that. When I heard him telling a mini-biography on the Black Rock:

"C'mon, Hanso... say it..."

"...By Magnus Hanso."

"HA!"

...Total LOST nerdiness coming out there.

Ok, awesome episode!
At the end, when Daniel was looking in his notebook and it said something about Desmond, I missed it. My dog distracted me, I looked away, and missed it. I don't have dvr or whatever so I have no idea what it said. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks so much!

It said "No matter what happens, Desmond Hume (or whatever his last name is) is my constant."

In all seriousness I thought that Desmond was going to die in the middle of that episode. I could just picture it...him talking to Penny on the phone while having blood gushing out of his nose. :slurp:

Altogether, definetely the best of S4 thus far...but apparently episodes 7 and 8 have some sweet cliffhangers. And I'm not sure if anyone would consider this as a spoiler, but apparently a "signifigant" death will occur that "will veer from tradition". I have a very strong feeling who it's going to be...:lookaroun

In other news, Minkowski is either going to be in a flashback or he's not as dead as we thought, for Fisher Stevens has stated that he is signed on for future episodes.

"If anything goes wrong, Desmond Hume will be my constant".

I never understood why that was such a cliffhanger.

Adam/Eve won't be touched on this season, but the 4 toe statue will.
Yes, the writers have stated that the statue will be talked about this season--though I haven't heard that Adam & Eve won't. But there's no doubt they'll play a part in future episodes! :sohappy:

I love this show!:D

"Will we be dealing with the Adam and Eve skeletons this season?

LINDELOF: No. But they will be addressed" - From an interview with EW.

They also said:
"We could be winky about the coffin all the way through season 5. But that was one of the first things we talked about when we got back to work on the new episodes: We definitely have to show who was in the coffin."

Which I am looking particularly forward to.

Lindelof and Cuse had an interview with TV Guide this week too. Some interesting things -

Before the end of the year we will know who's in the coffin.

We're not officially saying if Aaron is one of the 6. Ben also could've assumed the identity of one of the survivors who had no surviving family. Who the actual 6 are is very much in play through the end of the March 13 episode. We'll confirm or deny after that.

Cuse says there are some growth isssues when you go on or off the island. "But I can't say more about that."

Questions about Michael (did he reach the mainland, go home, come back to rescue us) form the basis for the March 20 episode.

Guess that explains older Walt and Aaron. Must age you 2 years or so.

I'm still very much thinking Michael won't be the spy on the boat.

If it's not Michael, do you think it is a character we haven't met yet or someone we have met other than Michael?
Maybe the spy is Walt, he did show up in last season's finale and gave Locke instructions, at that time he seemed to know what was going on.
