Less Wishes in September?

Nooooooo hahahaha. A shell is different from a comet. There are six 10 inch shells used in Wishes fired from the main site. The largest comet used at the MK is 6 inches used for the 4th of July.

The comet from DL you refer to is 3 inches I believe, the same as RoE's largest comet. MK cannot use anything larger than 1.75 inches on the rooftops. Personally, I prefer the silver ones that are currently in place.

Ahhh....So what shells won't be used? The ones in the finale?

There will be no changes to the show, as far as i know. I said that more shells than usual were ordered in case they had trouble getting more. If they run out of their supply and do not receive another shipment, or a replacement, only a few 8 inch shells might be missing and 10 inch shells used during the children's Wishes chorus, Like a Bolt Out of the Blue and just before the finale the silver spiders on "And our WISH..."
But it would be very unlikely that they are cut.

Good news! :D I look forward to seeing the show this week....I want to see if I can recognize the new pyro I have heard about.

Unfortunately it's very likely things will be cut. I'm told that we can very soon expect some fairly hefty cuts to the number of shells used in Wishes. This wont be down to supply problems, it's simply down to reducing the cost of the show.

So, from what i have read in this post, it is possible wishes may be cut in sept, or the show shortened. but why wouls they do this when they are actually gaining attendance? Adding extra dining shows? So if you go in sept, they take away more? But add more dining times. doesnt help me out as i have my adrs, just hurts the ones who planned ahead of time, 4 years now in sept and this is hte first when alot of stuuf is being refurbished at one time, coincidence?

I`ll add to what boo52 says; shows are not being reduced in numbers. There are however plans to reduce the ammount of shells in the regular show. As I understand it not to remove sections, but not to use as many is parts where many are used at the same time. Kind of a thinning out that they obviously hope won`t be noticed.

I also understand Hellfire is cut again from HalloWishes `09 :(

Ok having avery bad brain blockage (hellfire in Hallowishes please let me know which part of show this is I've seen it quite a few time sbut not sure which pat hellfire is, ) I have to say Hallowishes is one of my favs, its like Wishes on Crack!!!!

Can you imagine if it were true all those people who bought into BLT with the selling point of watching Wishes from your room or on the roof, what a nightmare that would be.

They can always enjoy the other theming, amenities and entertainment that exclusive resort has to offer.

To save money because it makes them look good.

To reitterate, there won`t be less shows - on non MNSSHP nights it will still be shown. Right now it looks like the show will be the same length, but with less pyro in places - instead of (for example) 10 red rockets they will use 8.

DixieGirl; Hellfire used to end the main part of the show and to great effect.

Agreed.

And this will wind up SOP in all pyro shows across property in FY'10, with some exceptions like NYE etc ...

This is all about making the shows less costly to present forsaking show quality.

I'd rather staggered showings with standards, but my opinion wasn't asked for by TDO (even if it will be read).

I've already noticed the Wishes fireworks thinning over the past couple years, so I hope they don't take anymore out. I'm over there every month or two. It's already down to kind of the minimum amount to look good and keep the show going. Already noticed that the big glowing golden firework that is during when the Blue Fairy talks has either been replaced with something smaller or eliminated.

The product for the show has not changed since Jan 2004. There were a few times that for a week at most we had to cut some things due to shipping issues but nothing has changed. You may have been on a night where wind was an issue and things were cut.
