Divorce, but the show must go on (money train) Only comment I have is I like how they went to eat on mothers day and parked the van in a handicapped spot.Did look like the place was closed didnt see any other people eating there. They need to stop the show and make them work for a living.

I know we don't have the full story, but it seems to me that they didn't try hard enough to work this out. Did they try counseling at all?

Such a shame. Hate that anyone has to go through divorce - it sucks.

^^You beat me to it! I was just going to say that they didn't appear to have tried counseling. I only watched bits & pieces of last night's show, but it seemed as if Jon has made up his mind to get out. He mentioned finally standing up for himself, but at who's expense? It seems to me that he is the only one who is happy about the divorce. It's extremely sad.:(

Yes Jon seemed very happy about the split.Nice ear rings Jon! Anyway I dont think Kate will be alone for long.Im looking forward seeing what happens when the money train stops. They are both used to a certain life style and not working.Soon no one will want to pay to here Kates sob stories or what a good mother she is.I did read that the house is in a trust in the kids names so thats why they have to stay there to visit the kids.Time to be looking for a job Jon you may have some crazy child support payments in a couple years after the moneys gone.I bet taxes on that place alone would kill most people.

From Perez Hilton:

TLC has just announced that the network, not the family, has ordered a halt to production of the soap opera family-in-turmoil series Jon & Kate Plus Eight!

Due to the ever present marital problems, next week's episode will feature clips of unseen footage, but following that there will be no new episodes ’til August, since there is not enough footage to forge ahead at this time.

The season is only 6 episodes into the ordered 40 episode season. Clearly, without a Jon & Kate partnership to anchor the series, the producers will have to figure out a new way to keep the show going.

Time for a reformat! Maybe even a new title!

I saw on EW.com that Jon was looking at apartments in Trump Tower in NYC at $3200 a month. It seems to me that if he were even mildly intersted in being in his children's day to day lives that he would not be moving to NYC! Who exactly is going to pay his rent? Is he going to sue Kate for alimony since she's the only one working? I'm not sure how much TLC pays them for the show, but it seems to me that money should go to the kids. He was having a hard time hiding his giddiness about leaving and his comment about how excited he was to be starting a new chapter of his life-he's only 32 was disgusting. I'm not a huge fan if Kate's either, but Jon brought how she treats him on himself by acting like a child so much of the time. It's so disappointing that they didn't have the maturity to try marriage counselling before taking this dramatic step.

The whole situation just stinks for all involved. I hope Kate can find a real man to help her parent since I don't think Jon is going to be around much except when the cameras are rolling.

$50,000.00 to $75,000.00 per show, and Im sure Kate will be looking for a sugar daddy this time.No more show no more $$$$.She has a lifestyle to keep up.There is no more cutting coupons for her.

I feel bad that theyve had to divorce due to the paparatzzi following them/ "im a neauveau celeberty" issues.....but on the other hand I dont understand why the hell they've become celebs...When i worked as a paparatzzi for a well known entertainment website I would NEVER follow any "non celebs" like Paris Hilton or Nicole Richie.

I don't think they are divorcing because of the photographers. I think Jon mentions them cause he is fed up with the show and his wife.

I think they are divorcing because she is a nag and he is lazy.

I don't think her nagging was an excuse to cheat though, no one deserves that.

Well, Kate's side will be in People magazine this week. Good Morning America had an editor from People on to talk about the interview and he did mention how Jon was so angry with Kate that he wanted nothing to do with marriage counselling. I can't imagine going through a divorce let alone doing it in the public eye. I know they both agreed to this show but I have always wondered if being famous has to mean your life is an open book? Just a thought.

i think both are at fault. Yes they did the show but it dint need to go this far. First year or two ok. But they get everything handed to them that house, and $ for the show. I think Kate has turned to greed and Jon just wants out. An it seem that NO one not evan the media seem to care abotu those kids adn thats pretty sad..

As far as future episodes, I think they did some taping while Kate & the kids were on vacation in NC.
But, if they do cancel the show all together, I guess that will not air.
I see that next week there will be a recap story of the last 10 years of Jon & Kate's marriage.
I think I am finally going to stop watching.
The last episode actually depressed me.
I think their entire family, as well as the public, needs a break.
If anything continues, I think that TLC may finish out this season - depending on the material that they have to work with.
With all the kids in school next year, I can't see that there will be as much interest in them.
Actually, the focus has been off the kids for quite awhile now - it has seemed like the "Jon & Kate, Let's Focus on Me" show.

I hope the entire family can eventually find some peace.

The only people I feel bad for are those kids.

I hope the show does get cancelled. I can't stand either one of them (Jon or Kate).

Just goes to show you that you can have all the money and fame in the world handed to you and sometimes you're better off just pulling together and making things work on your own.

This makes me happy because they deserve nothing less. (Jon and Kate...not the kids).

They're the ones that put the kids through this...they deserve all the crap and turmoil they are receiving. Sell your soul to the devil and look what comes out of it.
