What happened at Toys R Us and with the gum?

On one episode they were all shopping at Toys R Us. Kate was at one end of the store, while Jon was at the other. Jon was keeping some of the younger kids occupied. Suddenly Kate decided that she wanted Jon with her so they could check out. She then proceded to shout at the top of her longs across the store. Something to the effect of "I need you here NOW!" and "Stop playing with the toys and get over here!" You actually see the customers walking by, just looking at her like she was nuts. Then they were outside and Kate started talking to Jon about something and he was just ignoring her. She then asked, "Are you irritated with me?" Jon says, "Yes." "Why???" replies Kate. "Because you treat me like a damn dog." was his answer. She was totally oblivious to the fact that she publically humiliated the man in front of his children. I knew right there that Kate needed to see someone about her problem.

The gum episode was when it was Mady's special day (all the kids had their own special days when they got to do anything they wanted) and the other 7 kids were with Aunt Jodi. The little kids discovered a gum ball machine and naturally wanted some gum. When Jodi asked if they were allowed to have gum, they said "Yes." In reality, Kate only lets them chew gum when they fly somewhere. So Jody gave them some gum. When they got back home, Kate discovered some gum on Colin's sock. She responded with a resounding, "No way.....NO WAY!!!!!" She acted as if he had stepped in toxic waste. She threw his socks in the garbage. She then discovered gum on his stuffed bear. She threw it in the sink, started rubbing it with her organic peanut butter and proclaimed it wasn't coming out. She said she wasn't going to put it in her washing machine, she was just going to throw it away. Colin began to cry. Her response was, "Say good-bye....he's going in the garbage." The little guy was an emotional wreck.
When she found out Jodi gave them gum, she sarcastically responded, "What is she thinking?" She then called Jodi and said, "Do me a favor....never give them gum again. It's all over everything." I was thinking, they are only kids. They make messes from time to time.
I know some people may not like what I say, but she is a rotten mother.

So that's pretty much what happened....in a nutshell.

The thing is...if you read about them and look back...when he met her she was the exact same way that she is now...so everyone who says.."Poor Jon"..needs to stop saying that..he married Kate knowing how she was so he gets no sympathy from me because he knew what she was like..he knew exactly how she was.

I do think it is time for the show to end..especially with all the drama going on and the kids getting older and it is not fair to them.

They need to end it and work on things between them if they desire to.

Probably, but the fame and money must've exacerabated her personality, because you can see the difference from the original special to now. She was scheduled and then, she's a nasty mean spirited person now :shrug: I can't believe she doesn't watch herself and realize how embarrassing that is. I can't imagine talking to ANYBODY the way she talks to her husband, let alone my husband!! On a good day she stops at being rude. :lol:

The show has lost its interest for me. It was fun when it was the family getting by day to day and dealing with life, but honestly I don't see what's so interesting about seeing some people who have become rich and spoiled raise their kids (with a nanny and whomever else is there we don't see)

Wow this was like 40 posts back but oh well.

Maggiegrace - she was in a bikini. Just not on the show ... It was in the tabloids. She took the kids to the beach and Jon was MIA with some girls at a bar.

It helps to catch up in the tabloids... That's what I mean by that's how I watch the show. They recap everything and then some

I saw the pic of her in a bathing suit on the View. I think she was with the bodyguard. These people are a mess. Although I will say for 8 kids she looks great in a bikini. It is a tabloid shot so they look to publish the worst.

I watched a clip from the show Monday anyone notice how nice and smiley Kate is now?? LOL must be all the money , no Jon, a new man ??? She was never all smiles in the interviews. Also did not show her get a call about the LO that got hurt. i am sure she was freaking out. Kate must have a clause in her contract that they can only show her happy??? HMMM

I saw something on E! over the weekend about her makeover. she used to look sooo different. pale, brown hair (yellow-ish teeth....) what a transformation.

The 100th episode show was pretty nice.
Jon & Kate were at the house together w/ the kids & Emeril.
Of course, neither one said much to eachother (at least on tape).
Emeril was in between them most of the time.
The kids seemed happy.

I just read an article how Kate was photographed spanking her daughter. Of course, the stupid media spins it to make it look like Kate is in the wrong. I'm not a big fan of Kate, mind you, but I'm just old school I guess...one important part of disciplining a child is to not be afraid to use the "board of education" (a paddle), as some people call it. Her child was disobeying and she got a well deserved spanking. I just wish more parents would be willing to give a spanking when their kids deserve it.

Hi there, I am sick and tired of Kate she is a B for sure.
She needs a real wake up call, when did she become so high and mighty and I wished ppl would stop doing stuff for her. It's nice she gave the bike to charity but I think she is just doing it just to do it.
I hope to god Jon runs for his life, and finds a person who will love him for him, I still think he is a nice guy. The kids are going to be the ones who suffer the most becasue of the way she acts they too will be acting that way I suppose.
I am not watching the show anymore so hopefully the ratings suffer and she will get off her high horse already.
Sorry to sound so mean I just can not stand her anymore. Fake laugh too.

I didn't have the patience to read all the posts, so I apologize if I am repeating what has already been said. A marriage in crisis is never something to take lightly. While I agree that Kate can be a B, no one deserves to be cheated on. Jon is obviously not getting his needs met, but he needs to man up and communicate what those needs are. Kate needs to stop feeling sorry for herself, and admit her part in the deterioration of the marriage. They need some serious marriage counseling.
With all that said, I am sad because it is a show that DD11 and I like to watch together, and it's hard to watch right now. For their childrens' sake, I hope they can rediscover the love they once had for each other.

I think they will announce they are getting divorced. It is sad but I think Kate is pretty much a hard person to be around. She is so self absorbed. Sad for the kids tho. I find it sad also that they used religion as a web to get people sucked into their show. Now she is using charity. I cant stand it. I am done with this show .

Also let me not leave Jon the moron out of this. He should have never cheated on his wife and he should have grew some and told her a marriage is about equality and not hurting the other person or breaking them down .

Has anyone heard anything about their dogs? Apparently someone reported them to the local Humane Society because the kids have been beating on the dogs (ie: pulling tails, biting and kicking them). Apparently Jon has admitted that the kids are "very rough" with the dogs.
If this is true, it's only a matter of time before the dogs start fighting back. I know d=from experience that a German Sheppard can do a lot of damage if they want to. This is what I found.

I saw that and this I think is ridiculous..
How many people with kids have dogs that they have raised with the kids that play and pull on and mess around with the dogs?

My parents have a bull dog that Maggie will chase and pull her tail and ears and this dog will just lick her and lay on her back and allow it because she knows Maggie..should we call he humane society on Maggie because of that too?

People are just looking for things to find wrong with this family now..
