Tomorrow is the first day of October, and that means fall is officially here! It's still pretty warm here, but October's arrival means cooler weather should be just around the corner.

October to December is my favorite time of year. I love the nip in the air after five months of baking in the Georgia sun. I love the seasonal autumn smells and colors. I enjoy all 3 holiday seasons (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas). I like how I can watch football and FEEL like it's football season. I like how the weather is just right, in between the blistering heat and the more chilly (if relatively mild) weather that visits these parts.

For my money, there's no time of year better.

Any other Fall Fans? :D

I love fall too, but I've been celebrating since eight days ago.

You must have mised the Autumnal Equinox bus.

Don't worry, I think there should be another bus coming around soon.

Yeah, I know the official start was a little while ago. I was too busy wiping sweat off my forehead to get excited. :animwink:

Like I said, I don't get happy 'til the calendar turns to October. :D

I want winter to come :lookaroun

That's when we hit the 60s ooooh :p

I was sitting at a picnic table today and started sweating like a pig. It was so hot.

I can't wait for Wal-Marts to start setting up he Christmas decorations.

I love the smell of Christmas decorations.

I also like the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday for that very reason.

60's? Bah! More like the 6's up here in Ohio. :xmas:
Hey...I take what I can get down here

When it hits the 40s...that's when it gets exciting :p

But when it goes lower, the Miami native in me starts to get a wee bit nippy :lookaroun

We usually get 60s-70s in October and November.

December and January we'll get 30s and 40s. Sometimes overnight lows in the teens, although that's not too common.

UGH... I hate fall. It just depresses me.

And today is the first day I've felt that gross cold feeling on my skin... and I've started to wear a sweater at night...

It's just a reminder that winter's coming soon and that means even colder temperatures and snow... ick ick ick.

I hate how my feet and fingers are constantly cold.

And I'm constantly sick. I can already feel the tickle in my throat coming.

Yet more reasons why a move south is needed.

Well, up here in the Great White North, we get around to work by sled dog (in the summer, it's a big canoe system). At least I get to travel around town easier when it snows.

:lookaroun I think the Tim's line would look more like a dog pound in the morning. :p

Rainfully, I completely agree. I hate winter and the arrival of fall just means that winter is not far behind. My fingers and toes are already cold and will stay that way till late spring. I was made to live in the South. Guess I'll just have to visit as often as I can like . . . Oct. 16th! :sohappy: I can't wait! I'll have to soak up as much warmth as I can to make it last through the winter.
