No it's not. I wouldn't put MM in U of E, but the Imagination pavilion is fine. The Imagination pavilion is the one place in FW it could go.
How so? At the core of it it has little to do with imagination

It didn't open until March 5th 1983.In 1982 JITI was the best ride in the park!
If the pavilion is planning to close in January, wouldn't there have been more recent information regarding the closing besides the date. Disney hasn't confirmed the closing, but I would have thought that they would by now if the pavilion is indeed closing in January. Does anyone remember any other time frames of the announcement of the closing of a pavilion to the actual closing?
All the artifacts are from remote areas of the world. Seems awesome to me.I don't even understand why people like this idea so much, that's like putting Indiana Jones Adventure in Epcot...
What does Mystic Manor have to do with the natural and environmental feel of DAK?
A cartoony monkey?

I'm liking this post cuz of your knowledge that the pavillion opened a year before the ride. not an offense to cammy up there. It didn't open until March 5th 1983.
With tweaks? Why not? Granted, I've watched one crummy ride-through video on YouTube, but I basically took MM to be a variation of The Sorcerer's Apprentice, where the monkey opens the forbidden box and unleashes a phantasmagoria. Why couldn't we have a version where Figment unlocks Dreamfinder's 'treasure chest' and reveals a wild flurry of fantasies, using the same ride tech and special-effects tech as MM? Crazy images that make you wonder? And of course, the twist at the end is that Dreamfinder discovers what Figment's done...and praises him for wondering and being curious.
I think that fits fine. After all, the idea should be to inspire *us,* and a lot of the visuals in MM were pretty inspiring. I was going 'I'm not sure what I'm watching, but I like it.' I wouldn't *call* it MM or have it be a ghost story per se, but why not? The original JII had a whole section devoted to spooky/scary stories. The key is the story/creative aspect.
Granted, I would ideally love an entirely new attraction altogether, not a clone, but this is WDI 2013 we're dealing with. If they've already sunk the $ into developing MM, a version of it may be more than we can hope for in the JII pavilion. Beats a fart machine IMO.
I agree with you. Let's put an attraction about a supernatural object in a land about future technology! No it's not. I wouldn't put MM in U of E, but the Imagination pavilion is fine. The Imagination pavilion is the one place in FW it could go.

I did. Do I agree? No.Read my posts please.
Your point is that eitherIt's fine if you disagree, but you're totally missing my point.

It could even just be an unsorted Idea Bag and you start out in the Dreamport storage room from the original. Dreamfinder has let Figment have Imaginometer duty, but he's too excited to see whatever surprises Dreamfinder picked up on the last trip and just opens the Idea Bag and lets it all loose.
The "Music Dust" becomes "Sparks of Imagination" and the ending has Dreamfinder saving the day by turning the Imaginometer on himself, and bringing us and Figment the message that sometimes you just gotta dive into new ideas and see what happens.
Me too as long as we don't end up with a partially closed building. I must say the area between Imageworks and the gift shop has been looking pretty sparse lately. On our last trip, most of the instrumental areas weren't working.I'm okay with something new as long as Figment sticks around.
