I refuse to support any non-original toons in Epcot. Massive fail of an idea.
So Nemo & Crush don't pass that statement for making living seas a much more entertaining pavilion?

As entertaining as it may be, they should have done far more to incorporate the original message of The Living Seas into the attraction. Instead it's nothing but "OH HEY WE LOST NEMO AGAIN LAWL LET'S GO FIND HIM OH LOOK FISHIES PLZ EXIT THRU GIFT SHOP", no substance whatsoever. The characters should have been the hosts of the pavilion, not the focus.

Indeed. A ride hosted by Mr. Ray taking us on a field trip (with Dory and Marlin as chaperones, though Dory's own need for supervision produces tension) would have been much better then the rehash sequel we got.Exactly. A Nemo overlay of the Living Seas was actually a good idea -- the film was getting long in the tooth and the "ride" through the tanks was pretty boring. The problem is with the execution. Instead of just replaying the Nemo story, they should have gone with having the Nemo characters be your guides to the wonders of the undersea world by talking about themselves and their habitats and their neighbors. Would have been educational and more engaging for the "more characters" crowd.
The projections into the actual tanks is cool.
