As with many others, I like both of these shows (particularly VotLM, which has some great effects -- not cutting edge, but they work really well). But I also agree with those who say shows need to change more often than rides, and the time for these shows has come, particularly BatB.
I wonder if they'll enclose the BatB theater, as they did the FotLK and Nemo theaters -- I hope so. A Tangled show could be good, particularly with some good effects for the launching of the floating lanterns.
At this point, Animagique looks like a logical replacement. We know the cloning is "in" due to budget issues, and while a lot of us around here go to DLP and WDW, the overlap isn't all that large so it would be brand new to the vast majority visitors. It uses some blacklight effects, as does VotLM, so the theater seems to already be conducive to the show. The company just lent DLP a bunch of money to take out the bank debt, which I'm sure will make the transfer of intellectual property easy (if it wasn't already). And the show is a hit. That being said, the theater is Paris is much larger than the VotLM theater, and the show is longer than VotLM. That might cause some problems without a substantial rework (i.e., shortening) of the show, but that rework might hurt the quality as well.
If these two shows change out, the BAH goes, Carsland comes, and the MI coaster arrives, this park will look all fresh and sparkly, even without the greatly needed updates to the Great Movie Ride and IJESS and doing something with the theater formerly known as the Monster Sound Show.
