Alan Menken Did Tangled as well . And it was a great film that made 3 times the money BatB did. So shut up and enjoy the new show.

Alan Menken said at an event last month that it is...I know nothing has been officially announced, so I'm not claiming to be a know-it-all...but what makes you so sure it's not?

They don't have to change Playhouse Disney/ Disney Jr. Live any more than switching out shows to keep to the current popular shows. There is a fairly small window in which guest hit the target demographic for this so there is no need to change more. People that saw it years ago with Bear in the Big Blue House aren't going there any more because their kids have out grown it. People that are going with their kids now didn't see it years ago because they were just young people spend their time at ToT and Rockin' Roller Coaster.
Playhouse Disney/Disney Jr. Live is not something that is not an attration that is timeless because it is such as classic, it is timeless because the "audience" changes.

Yeah I forgot about that one ... since they have to replace two shows if one of them had to be Aladdin I'd be more than just OK with that ... but two new shows would really be something, especially if everything else goes down as rumored.
You know that really bums me out. Not only did Princess and the Frog show that Disney can still do top-notch hand-drawn animation, but it was an excellent story, had great music and a wonderful setting. My wife and I were very much impressed by the film and it certainly fits the something for every family member ideal that Walt had.
And, at least amongst the princess set, it seems that Tiana is quite popular in the parks. I think this film definitely deserves more representation.

I'm afraid I will go in June with a large group of people and everything will be closed being worked on and none of my group will ever want to go back to DHS. What do you think the chances are Cars Land Construction could be approved and started causing LMA and the Backlot to be gone as well as these two shows gone and a replacement not in yet?

A little in that they both feature songs/characters from Disney films (although they don't completely overlap in which movies they feature.) - Also, Animagique has mostly live elements controlled by CMs, and is half in french, obviously. You can watch it on YouTube here if you want.

It will be hard to see the BatB go. Seeing that show at 11 years old was my very first experience with "live theater" and helped me discover my love and passion for Broadway. My parents were never into theater, but going to WDW and seeing that show for the first time was priceless to me and life changing. That show holds so much sentimental meaning for me I'll never forget that feeling of knowing something like that exists and people can actually do that for a living.
Also, I do love VotLM simply because its so unique, but I do agree it needs an upgrade. More than anything I was hoping for a change to the Indy show. Would love to see the DL ride replace it.

I've had the same thought for a year or more. I'd prefer a dark ride but when I heard VotLM may be replaced due to TLM in the FLE, this is exactly where I think PatF would fit perfectly! Disney's latest hand-drawn animated feature with great music & could have some really cool visual effects in that theatre located within the Animation Courtyard... it's a no-brainer to me.

I would absolutely love it if that show was in DHS.
Agree 100%, especially regarding how cool a Friends on the other side with blacklights would be.
Also, regarding my previous post and PatF music... it is telling to me that almost 2 years after its release, "Dig a Little Deeper" is still pretty heavily played on the Sirius/XMs KidsPlace Live station, but Tangled's "I have a Dream" really isn't. And I remember they played that song like 2x an hour when Tangled first came out.
Now, I know it's satellite radio, so they have more leeway with their playlists than do broadcast stations, but they still tend to play what kids want to hear. So to me at least, that says PatF is pretty popular.
See, you can tell that I have a 3 year old at home!

oooh add me to the list of Princess and the Frog supporters. I enjoyed that movie much more than Tangled. If BatB has to be replaced, my vote goes to PatF.
