Yeah, every other forum on Uni/coasters/theme parks has someone who says it is finally ready for real testing, but still over a week or more away for people...
They have been putting it out on the lift the past few days to test the new anti roll backs, but not cycling it during daylight hours.

Today Marcus got to talk to somebody who is working on the ride. He was told to go to Universal tomorrow if he likes roller coasters.

I didn't think it was ready for soft openings yet, but this is obviously a big hint at something.

I just figured I would throw that out there for any other locals who may be interested.:D

I think it may be more than a few weeks. I looked all over it today- LOOOOONNNNNGGGG way to go, IMHO.

Like I said, I didn't think it was ready for human consumption yet. The guy never actually said that it would be a soft opening. He just said it was something interesting to people who like roller coasters. Marcus assumed it would be a soft opening.

Considdering it has finally been test running more during the night... including last night... it should be ready for people in early july.. and then public testing after that? grand opening mid july maybe?? that is if they got everything installed and working correctly...

Loudest lift ever! Quietest coaster ever! I think they may end up putting some sort of tarp decoration up the side of the lift hill, and if so that may help knock down the sound from the chain... The coaster is soooo quiet but it should be if the main focus is hearing the music on the trains... Pretty exciting!

Anyone have an answer to my question about the size of the restraint system? I know I could wait till I'm there to find out but I would like to know asap so I can either keep getting excited or know to resign myself to not riding this coaster. Sorry to be bugging everyone :zipit:

I have watched many a test run in my life, and I am sorry to say this one doesn't leave me salivating. I am a huge Uni fan too. Do they have the brake sections turned on? If so, will they be using them when the ride is running full capacity? It looks like it is barely making it through the course. Look at the train going back past the lift...no speed. I know, I know the ride hasn't opened yet, and I am a huge "ride it first" guy, but this coaster looks EXTREMELY slow. Nothing like when I first watched El Toro run and my eyes popped out at the speed carried by that thing.
