Not bad. I really hope this ride turns out to look like the concept art.
Won't look exactly like it since they decided not to do the whole thing with the "Hollywood" letters.
They will still probably put the lights on the lift hill.

I've also been thinking about this, every other ride in the Studios has a tie to the movies and although this is called "Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rockit" i can't really see any tie to the movies :veryconfu and also i can't really see the point in a loop that doesn't go upside down, i mean i know its different but it just seems pointless.

I hope it surprises me though, i really want it to be better than i think its going to be :)

The ride takes a "movie" of you. It's a very loose connection, but it's there. As for the loop, it's a new element never seen before. That's the point. Why include a common loop when you can do something different? Besides, this coaster is aimed at people who don't like inversions. There are several coasters in IOA that will invert you if that's what you're looking for.

O, i didn't know it took a movie of you, a very loose connection as you say, but should be interesting :)
I do see where theyre coming from, for people who dont like inversions but IMO it just seems a little...mehh haha i can't describe it better than that, should provide some good views though :)

It went out on the track this afternoon. We were leaving, I didn't get anything good. I know however others did, so hopefully soon we will see them.

Yes, they will eventually speed it up. They'll start out very slow on the lift making sure that works properly and pulls the cars all the way up without incident. Then they'll slowly start speeding it up.

Quick update from Wednesday:

First off...

Found white spots all over the supports and some of the track in this area. Really, really weird. Two people said they were putting "graphics" in those spots, but I'm not really sure why they would or of what they would put there.

Secondly...

As my description says:

Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit testing at night on May 27th, 2009. This is just a short clip of it outside the Sharp AQUOS Theatre. My apologies for the quality - it was taken with my Blackberry Storm and there was very little lighting in the area. They tested a few times that evening. We saw it fly by the soundstages after leaving the TNA iMPACT! taping in Soundstage 21 at around 9:30, and then after leaving the park about a 1/2 hour later we saw it at the top of the lift (this was literally JUST after we walked through the gates, which were then closed by security as we were the last ones in the park). I rushed over to the CityWalk portion of the coaster to see it in action.

Looks like they're just testing when it doesn't rain now. Monday was clear, and so was Wednesday.
