Really??? I should have seen that.....

Oh, by the way... I am having a Quarter Pounder with fries now. Does anyone want a bite?:slurp:

Sounds good, but I prefer the Big Mac. I haven't had one in at least six months.

I actually have a friend (who's a girl. NOT a "girlfriend") who's from Brazil.

She's missed some school days organizing a Brazilian soccer cookout at her house.

(There's a big Brazilian flag taking up the better half of her garage door. :lookaroun)

Now that's a typical Brazilian!!!! Everyone is doing the same. My sister didn't have classes at school last week, as Thursday was a holiday, and Tuesday there was the game... so the governor gave them the week off!!!! And yeah, these Brazilian soccer cookouts happen everywhere. And yeah, there are Brazilian flags taking up the better parts of everything...:hurl:

Where does your friend live?

Sorry... you took too long to reply. It's gone now...

Oh, by the way... are there special World Cup sandwiches at Mc Donald's in your countries? Here there are 7, one for each day of the week.

Not that I know of... (I'm in Canada, so I couldn't speak for the U.S. I'd imagine I would have already seen advertisements.)

We have McDeals, one for each day of the week, however. :lookaroun

Right here. She goes to my school.

Actually, she'd mentioned a town where she'd lived before, but I can't seem to place it at the moment...

 Cool!!!! She is really a typical Brazilian! Keeping up with the World Cup "traditions" even from that big distance! Just get her and multiply by 180 million (minus 1, that's me!!! ) and you'll have the picture of what's happening here right now.

McDeals? Cool! Do you have any Canadian sandwiches, that we don't have in the US?

There is the link for the World Cup sandwiches, one for each country that has won the world cup: (sorry, couldn't get that translated...) http://www.mcdonalds.com.br/produtos/novidade_copasabores.asp

I'm quite certain we don't. I think McDonald's has a universal menu.

(Plus, being bordered so closely, a lot of things between Canada and the U.S. don't change much.)

We actually have a lot of British candy, come to think of it. Smarties, for example... but we have nearly all types of American amenities!

It's not just a Brazilian thing!

My mom's compadre is from Ecuador, and we went to a cookout at his house yesterday to celebrate Ecuador's 2 wins!

And of course... my stepdad wore his Mexican jersey to the cookout :lookaroun

There are some non-American sandwiches in Spain, and Portugal, I guess. And here, there's Cheddar Mc Melt, which is: meat (like the Quarter Pounder one), melted cheddar cheese, onions (fried on soy sauce) in rye bread. The one in Spain had some meatballs, but I didn't have the guts to try it.

Smarties... just love them...:slurp:

Why????? Are you on a diet or something?

By the way... nice popsicles. Do they taste good?

The kids seem to like them. :D they are lemon and cherry flavored.
When our son watches the games with his dad, he's such a riot. He likes to talk as if he knows exactly what's going on. Sometimes he does, sometimes he's just repeating what sounds good to him. Like, "Poland smoked Costa Rica" today. You should have heard him lay into the referee during the Italy/USA match.

When the first round is over, will ESPN update the games for the second round? I mean putting country instead of ex. 1A? I hope they do

I'm sure they will.

I'm getting torn between this game. I didn't realize SWE was so good. I don't want them to lose anymore because then they'd be playing GER next round. I don't want GER to lose.

SWE's corner kicks are INSANE! They have just been CRAZY so far. Deadly.
