I failed to get in on this thread early in its conception but I will say it was a great Cup! I do feel like the final should have been Germany versus Brazil but that is why we play the game! Italy has always been my favorite since I can remember, so Viva Italia!

Just looking at the final game specifically, it looked like Italy controlled the first half for the most part and then the France offense really had all the chances the second half. France could not stop the corner kick attacks nor any free kicks form the sides, they were lucky Italy did not score more early. The PK early in the game looked like the Frenchman tripped over himself while the Italian tried to hold back from running into him. Anyway, you get those calls early but not late in a close game! I enjoyed all the games I could watch, but I wish instead of overtime they would just go to PK's, because both teams are just exhausted after the regular time and everyone gets on the defensive just trying to stay alive.
