Disney's been selling tickets for years. I think by now they've figured out the best pricing structure to meet the needs of the vast majority. :shrug:It really irks me that Disney limits MYW to 10 days. Oh well, what can I do about it? Oh yeah, goto Sea World, Discovery Cove, US, and IOA. Bummer that I would have to upgrade to an AP or start a whole new MYW. More of my $$$ going elsewhere.

I've always taken the approach that there is a ticket format to meet virtually every length of stay or number of visits I can imagine doing, all while staying solely at WDW. Staying 14 days? A 10-day MYW with waterparks add-on is perfect. Going for a week? A month? Two trips within a year? Two trips five years apart? There are all sorts of options.
I can't imagine getting "irked" because the precise ticket to match every possible scenario isn't available.
I'm too happy enjoying Disney.
I was going to skip Disney this year, but I want to see HP. Although, I have never watched a HP movie...:lookaroun So UNI here I come.^^^ We are breaking up our Disney trip for the first time ever and going to universal for a day or two as well... Harry Potter is the main reason for the visit though! :ROFLOL:
You're entitled to believe you're getting a discount, and in pure dollars I'm certain you believe you are. But you are also getting poorer quality food and service, and a more crowded atmosphere. In addition to all of that, you're contributing to the commoditization of what was once a fairly unique product. And by participating you assist in degrading the experience for all of us.
So hey, thanks. Glad you saved some money. Since it's a decision that's all about helping you, I don't feel partcularly bad expressing my strong preference for what would help me.
Dont worry we cant all be perfect, and dumbing down of dining is entirely the fault of Disney management.
That seems to be the same "up to 30% off" discount that's been up. Summertime Savings, I think it's called. Still only through 8/14.WDW's facebook page just announced another/continued summer promotion with a booking window through May 2nd. I'm guessing FD or other Fall discount until at least May 3rd.
Hey I'm the one with breakiing news. Look at me everyone look at me.
I thought the old plan was savings up to 40%That seems to be the same "up to 30% off" discount that's been up. Summertime Savings, I think it's called. Still only through 8/14.

That status was just showing the "new" TV spot... which is just the old Celebrate commercial with info on this discount.

Sorry, I thought you meant it was a new discount :wave:Yeah, I know that but I thought though that the booking window had closed and was now extended to May 2nd. Oh well, so much for having the scoop.
Sorry, I thought you meant it was a new discount
But I'm pretty sure that when it came out originally it was up to 40%, then that expired and 2 days later they released this one which is up to 30%, still only up to 8/14.
