Sounds great! A couple of thoughts though. One, why didn't they try and utilize space at the front of the pavillion, like at water's edge, similar to Mexico's Cantina? The location is okay, but it just seems to me that much space is wasted at Epcot by not utilizing more space along the water for eating and viewing the night-time shows. Second, why doesn't Epcot build more table service restaurants with good water/lagoon views? It's such a beautiful park, and the lagoon has one of the best night time shows. It just seems to me that a few restaurants that had big views of the lagoon would make for some great evening meals. Perhaps someday in the future if any additions are ever made to World Showcase or any of the pavillions are ever re-done, they could build or change a couple of restaurants that would overlook the lagoon.

Right now it does appear that EP is trying to open up more viewing areas for Illuminations. Personally, I enjoy watching them from the Rose & Crown or the Mexican cantina, but there apparently is enough of a need to find space for those not spending their timing watching from those locales...

The weather can be a factor for anything on the lake. Rose and Crown can lose its outdoor seating when it rains and when there is very cold weather.

I have also been at the Candlelight Processional in December when the wind was whipping across the lake and creating a chilled experience even with the American Gardens pavillion theatre blocking some of it.

The easiest thing they could do to open up more areas would be to remove the pine trees on the lagoon islands. Right now, there are areas in France, Morocco, and China that would be great viewing locations if it weren't for the trees.

When we were there in November our very first night was spent outside the French pavilion watching Illuminations, downing coffee and hot chocolate (by the gallons it seemed), due to some very cold weather and wind kicking up off the lagoon.

So, do we know for sure if it's a TS restaurant? By the sounds of it... it is... but I was hoping for some good CS too!

I wonder will we get both!?!

I want to say it's a TS restaurant. With 300 seats, that's more than what's needed for a CS place.

The number of seats isn't really a factor. For example, ABC Comissary at the Studios has over 500 seats and is a counter service. The Brown Derby has just under 300 seats and is table service.

Hey, I just noticed that it says 'family-style pizzeria'. Could that possibly mean it's like 'Ohana, and you get as much pizza as you want?! :slurp:

Sounds like it might be a TS, which is a bit disappointing, consider EPCOT is about the only park that doesn't need more of that.

Still, sounds good, as long as the price isn't too ridiculous.

If that is the case, that would be awesome. I still think we need a CS, but this would make up for it a little if it is family-style.

Not really, they turn on warmers.

It was in the 40's when we were there...and requested them turned off for out table. :D

I think I'm one of the few here who is excited by the fact this new place is using their own water to make the pies. I shudder to think what they would taste like with the stuff Disney filters throughout the parks....
