I may have posted this somewhere else, but the first time i visited in '99 i was 7 and i rode HM and in the stretch room i swear when the lights went off, an illuminous dummy fell from a trap door in the ceiling with a noose around its neck. I was VERY scared
I'm sure there's others because my memory is RUBBISH :)

My favorite from a schoolmember: I got out of my seat acidentally on Space Mountain and held onto the nosecone for dear life. Then I got back into the car, buckled my seatbelt, and nobody was the wiser...

My favorite memory has to be Timekeeper.

Otherwise, I remember riding Space Mountain and there were no drops! (I was only 7)

I couldve sworn walking down Hollywood Blvd at the Studios with a Chinese theater at the end, where a giant inflatable Sorcerer Mickey shot fireworks out of his finger :lookaroun

There was a restaurant in Pirates.

The Blue Bayou overlooks the bayou scene in PotC in DL. It's probably my favorite Disney restaurant just because of the atmosphere. The San Angel Inn approaches the ambiance that is achieved in the Bayou but it just doesn't compare.

Order the Monte Cristo!!!!

Is it 5:00 yet?
I don't have too many memories of my 1984 trip since I was only 5 but I seemed to recall that the drop on Pirates was at the end...So when I rode it again in '03 it surprised me when it was at the beginning...

LMAO id like to have heard that song

If you wanna die,
the bermuda triangle is where you should fly,
you'll down your plane,
it'll be a shame,
and it's just a dream away!!!!

All I remember is that they each wore a triangle on them somewhere and the song contained the line "triangle zone.."
Maybe it was at SeaWorld???

I'm guessing that you're being sarcastic.

I first rode Maelstrom when I was 3. Now I have clear memories of things from even when I was a year old but this was the only memory to date that did not serve me right. I swore that instead of small viking ships there was one very large one that would come out and load about 50 people in it. It also went outside by going over the waterfall...no polar bears, no trolls. When I rode it again when I was about 8 I was very disappointed. It took me that long to realize it as we sort of skipped it every year til then.

I have maintained that I took a hopper pass and went from Hollywood Studios to Epcot to MK. Of course there is only a monorail that connects Epcot and MK. I still cannot remember how I got from DHS to Epcot

While I know the "Walt Disney story" was in MK on Main Street (since moved to DHS) I solemnly swear in March of 2002 that there was a movie about Walt that lasted about 5-10 minutes. Now, this might have had something to do with his 100th birthday though

I swear I heard/saw the Jeremy Irons version of Spaceship Earth on my first trip to EPCOT Memorial Day weekend of 1994.

I completely forgot about this thread!!! That's too funny.

Another bizarro memory that has come to light is from a friend, while discussing Disney: they SWORE they remember only going to 1 park, cuz they only had a day or so, they know they only did "the castle park" doing IASW, the Beauty and the Beast stage show, and "the big bumpy ball " So, 1 park = 3 parks = good math. Lol

Yeah, that ToT theory is mine. I totally remember the car inching out over the park just a bit, then going back in right before the drop.
Apparently it never happened, though... who knew?

I wouldn't feel too bad. My brother rode ToT before me and that's how he described it to me as well.

It's hard to determine what is and is not sarcasm in this thread, but if you're serious... You probably took a friendship boat from HS to EPCOT... It passes by the boardwalk, dolphin/swan (and maybe another resort) and then drops off @ the International Gateway which is small entrance/exit to EPCOT between the UK and France in the World Showcase.

Friendship boats are one of my favorite modes of transportation when leaving HS, but I'm not ready to head back to the resort yet...

We usually try to plan our HS day when EPCOT has EMH in the evening and we'll get there in time for Illuminations, and then wander around until the buses aren't too crowded.

Don't worry I am serious. That could have been how I did it. Maybe I had another day of hopping. Honestly it is a little fuzzy.

I have a few memories I can't confirm ever happened.

One was that with the original version of ToT, after you watched the original post-drop film, you backed up and the Dummy turned and said something. I distinctly remember this, but apparently never happened! Maybe I just thought it was the dummy talking since I was an impressionable young boy

I could also swear to you that the giant elephant unit from the Main Street Electrical Parade would "bounce" up and down whenever the silly circus theme played on the calliope. Ya know, the elephant that followed Dumbo's train, he was showering himself? Yeah, well I've never seen proof of it, but why do I have such a distinct memory of it? Oh well!!
