E:E Rumor

That is still quite a big list of 'not working' out of a limited number of effects.
My point exactly.:D
I recently rewatched the "Making of" documentary, and it was kinda sad how an attraction that showed such promise has been allowed to fall so far. They spent like 15mins on the Yeti, how advance he is, how awesome his movement is....
Sad.:(

The problem with the Yeti in an outdoor section is that the maintenance would be that much tougher. If they could have an arm appearing or something like that it might work, but I really think it could work as a static figure as soon as you entire the mountain in reverse, the problem is that they didn't finish that rockwork so it's not like they could just plop him on a platform.

It's never had a refurb.

^I attribute this to all of the problems. Attractions NEED downtime, attractions need to be refreshed at LEAST once a year for amazing technology like the Yeti to last forever.

Disney World likes to buy the newest and most State of the Art Computer, but all they do is run it nonstop with no downtime, preventive maintenance, or adjustments and tuning.

A week closed can mean a whole year the attraction can maintain it's opening appearance.

Disney World builds attractions flawlessly. All the Flaws come from poor oversight.

Or perhaps the original Yeti could be placed as a static figure elsewhere in the attraction? Perhaps somehow lit as you fall backwards into the mountain.

Exactly. Remove from the mountain and create a seperate attraction with it. "Yeti Encounter?". That way guests could experience it in a much more intense way rather than the second or two currently experienced.

Then they could add several Yeti effects for the coaster that suggests you are being chased but it isn't necessary to see the entire Yeti if done correctly. What is unseen can be far scarier and intense than what is seen. Especially if they create the sense he's gaining on you added to the intensity of the runaway coaster.

Oh yeah, that'd work.:drevil:
That was the original plan for the mountain. Multiple encounters all over the mountain. They should have done it, seeing that the ONE doesn't work.:dazzle:

That's all on TDO, though, right? Not wanting to disturb/disrupt Capacity and ruin magical vacations.:lookaroun

I have heard the replacement Yeti. Yeti 2.0.
Like Martin said, it's one option they are looking at.

Trouble is, as my source have told me, it's time to decide something now. It will take a considerable amount of time to build Y2.0. The longer a decision is made, the longer the substandard B show has to run. If they decide to move ahead with it now, it might get installed this year.

There were the persistent rumors that the Yeti's support structure also had so issues as well. Was that not the case or have those issues been fixed?

I believe, based on the consensus of opinions I have heard, that there may in fact be some structure issues, but that they are not the main problem. They are a symptom. Replacing the Yeti with a new version will allow them to correct those problems as well.

Or, so I hear. My Everest sources from years past are no longer available, so I am taking everything I hear with a dash of salt, and trying to confirm with multiple people.

There are Three show scenes with the Yeti. The idea wasn't to make it fantasy Yeti encounter hour with Yeti's poppin' up everywhere. The idea for Everest is more like Jaws. You hear noises, see shadows, and catches glimpses. Even the final encounter is supposed to leave you wondering if you really saw what you thought saw.

PfftHEY! And You haven't been on it! Shuddup!

I wonder if they will be like the one that I am still kicking myself for not getting? As a party of 5 I was usually the odd man out. I got to ride with a very uneasy 18-19 year old gentleman that was there on a dare. In the on ride photo he was hugging me with his head buried in my chest.

I hope not to stoop that low.:lookaroun

Somehow, I don't think that Lee wants to sit next to me in E:E all of a sudden.
