Do you think that Disney world will reclose its gates due to the rising number of COVID cases in Florida and around the country?

Think for yourselfer
Well we just have to wait and see if the rules are enforced or if it’s just lip service. There’s going to be a lot of people uploading videos that will show the truth.
This is laugh out loud funny. As if 8 second video clips are indicative of the larger picture. This is exactly the problem with the social media world we are now being forced to inhabit.

There have been plenty of people waking around DS without a mask or wearing it below their chin. Now add thousands of people and I’m not so confident that it’s going to happen but I’m not going so have fun if you do.
This is exactly what I’m talking about. How do you define “plenty”. From people I know that have gone to DS multiple times now compliance is very high. Not 100% all the time, but very high. As an example on numbers If there’s a thousand people there at some point in a day (probably most days have more than that) and 50 people don’t wear a mask appropriately all the time that’s 95% compliance. It’s easy for people looking for the problems to post pictures of the 50 people not complying that day, but it’s still a 95% success rate. There won’t be 100% compliance so if that’s the target than yes, it won’t happen. I think that’s the main disconnect.

If Disney opens, one of two things will unfortunately happen:
1. It will see EXTREMELY low crowds because nobody will want to go.
2. Florida will soon see 20K or more per day of new cases before too long.

When Texas moved from 25% to 50% and some school districts had graduations, I predicted that we'd see a slight uptick in daily cases or, at best, a flatline within 2-3 weeks. Well, within just one week, the daily new cases doubled and within 3-4 weeks they quadrupled.

I imagine more likely, crowds will be low... but not from people wanting to go or not, but no one can buy tickets or get reservations for 2020 as of now. I would bet demand will be there once reservations open again.. Florida will also likely see an increase in cases but I doubt there will be any direct connection to spread within WDW.

“COVID-19 is close to losing its epidemic status in the U.S., according to the CDC
The percentage of coronavirus deaths in the country has been declining for ten straight weeks.”

At least we are starting to see some reporting how the death rate continues to drop, lowest Saturday number since the end of March

Having the disposable income to spend 5K on a few days at WDW but can’t handle wearing a mask. This is truly a first world problem.
Dropping $5K at WDW at a place where a number of offerings are not even operating in the middle of the hot summer , limited park hours is only for the true and dedicated .

As a realist, how long will fingers need to be crossed? We should have already seen hospitalizations shoot up, we are past the lag for that.
Just have to ask cause I'm struggling with this? Why are you and many others in such a hurry to open things up. Cases and positive percentage are rising so now would be the time to refrain from opening more businesses. That includes theme parks and close the ones that are open. From what's been said you want positive percentage to be under 5 not 15.
